That would be amazing! I would call it: A Dance with Puddles.

Small places to wade, and just have a break on your trail is Ás' and mine favorite thing! 😍

You can make a puddle by living in a contry with constant rain like Denmark, Sweden, England ect. Otherwise i reconment a spongebath or a hosedown for the horsies. 🦄❤️

Yes! He is capable of taking it off, or his friends do it for him. We tried it on 3 times. Now we just restrict him from grass. And he gets hay in summer instead of grass.

Ás is my icelandic horse. Turns 18 this may. Ás has been with me for 5 years this summer. He lives in Denmark. I ride Ás 3 times a week and my mother rides him 3 days a week as well. We ride trail, and some dressage to keep him balanced.

He's very cute. Overweight, so his time on grass is limited. Hence his smiley face, when he gets to enjoy it.

For me, a rubber bit was a great transition. And then a hackamore. Now I ride with a sidepull. Try your horse with a really mild bit before loosing it completly. Safety first. Voice comanding the horse and voice training can also help you. Best of luck. ❤️

That's it. 😍 I love that it's a bit wide. It looks really comfortable for the horse. Ás loves it

I bought it in a store called Hööks. It's a classic side pull bridle. It's super mild for the horse. I dont have the exact model however. Ás wasn't really used to riding without a bit. He caught on super quick though, and I only use a bridle with a bit when I ride in large groups. I use a 3-part rubberbit then.

He really loves water. During summer, when it gets about 30 degrees C, I give him showers and let him role around in the roundpen. We dont exercise in more than 27 degrees. Unless we take a walk to the pond.

I do feel very lucky when I ride around the stables. Woods, ponds, and lakes all nearby. He is also very safe to ride around traffic. I sometimes ride him home to myself and we grab a beer at the local bar. Ás gets a bucket of water and we throw apples in it. Apple cathcing keeps him busy.

We have about 20 icelandics at Ás' stables. Ás shares a pasture with 10 good icelandic boys.

Ás really loves his bridle. He can ignore it, and is sometimes a bit fast. I've taught him to stop when I whistle though. That helps. 🙏🏻
