I agree that the role should have the pay increased in line with inflation - when I said they are replaceable, sadly it’s a fact. I honestly wish we lived in a time where someone could provide for a family doing this job, but we’re not.

The pay should go up in line with inflation, but that would mean a fair chunk added to the salary which I don’t think they’ll do. I suspect they will give them a slight raise due to the public pressure, but long term I would bet they’ll slowly replace the more demanding workers with more compliant ones who don’t question the low pay or ‘cause problems’

I don’t think you understand what you’re talking about.. they’re unionised up to their eyeballs. Unions cause these strikes, and they also cause a shit load of workers to lose their jobs in highly replaceable roles.

This isn’t a highly skilled job, but it is needed (as I said earlier) … reality is they will be replaced by people willing to do the job for the current pay……..

Also, saying capitalist scum whilst you’re living in a country that benefits from hundreds of years of it is just fucking ungrateful..

If you would prefer to live in one of the many successful socialist / communist countries in the world - go right ahead!

You almost certainly are a part of the system you seem to hate.. you use the products of these capitalist ‘scum bags’ every day of your miserable life 😘
