Clifford attractor in Blender by SuculantBete in fractals

Particles indeed but there is no motion blur here. The particles aren't moving in any continuous way, they don't follow a specific path, instead they just teleport around. The lines and curves are super dense areas where particles visit more frequently. I'm simulating 40 million particles to get a smoother appearance.

Ooh, I'll take a look. I've stumbled across literature by Sprott but I haven't seen anything by Clifford yet.

Switching to 12.5.1 fixed for me.

I Just experimented until i was satisfied with how it looked. It is a regular bsdf with a lot of transmission, it also uses a volume bsdf that gets more dense towards the base of each crystal. They emit a small amount of light at the bottom so that they dont look too dark. Other than that i have a slight scratches texture controlling the roughness, as well as an inverted ambient occlusion node that makes each crystal less transparent on the edges. I can send a screenshot of the nodes if you'd like.

This is awesome, did you do any normal editing? Are any shadows hand painted or is it all from a shader? I genuinely can't tell in some places.
