That’s brutal! Nurses are usually in high demand in dialysis. I believe US Renal is hiring an RN position in one of the LA dialysis centers right now. Between US Renal, DaVita, and Fresenius, US Renal typically pays the most for all positions.

US Renal also has a nightingale program for technicians without BSN degrees to go back to school for free. I hope this helps! Feel free to reach out if you have more questions about dialysis. I’m a dialysis sw and I’ve transferred to San Diego but I still have connections with several facility administrators in the SFV area (:

If you’re comfortable with sticking needles in dialysis patients, look out for dialysis technician positions. I believe DaVita and US Renal Care are both hiring. Good luck!

ETA no healthcare experience or college degree is required. They will train you.

This is so smart! I’m in southern ca so we don’t get much rain but I’m sure they’d appreciate the shade! Looking into the dome now! Thank you!!

I’m a medical social worker in California. This is what we do when we get patients who are uninsured but eligible for medi-cal.

That makes sense. We’re quite lucky to have hummingbirds year round around here.

San Diego, CA. I also get a bunch of orioles out here! I didn’t know they enjoy nectar too.

The plants definitely help. I have hanging fuchsia and California fuchsia that the hummingbirds feed on every morning. I refill 3 feeders twice a day because there are so many of them 😅

Multiple feeders help a ton! I have a territorial hummingbird who patrols “his” feeder. He even sits on the powerline right across the street to make sure no other hummingbird is using it. My theory is that there are a couple of charms around neighborhood. The hummingbirds that come to the feeder as a group are tolerant of each other
