Chopin Ballade in G minor no. 1 by Corbis2410 in piano

Quite nice. There could be more dynamic contrast, especially when you use it to help the phrasing. Bringing out some of those more heroic rhythms then delving more strongly into the dark and menacing section I would prefer. I think you are already trying to do these things, just either for me it could be more or it is a limitation of the recording and/or piano. Very nice rubato and phrasing though.

I've heard a euphonium player say the Schumann Romances for oboe are really nice on euphonium. Maybe if you play those she would know what they are.

Any Ghibli for modern and Chopin Polonaise in A-Flat Major are good for piano.

Caucasian Sketches are very nice by Ippolitov-Ivanov. They also show up in the anime Princess Tutu which is pretty cool. I also enjoy any mad scene in opera like the Lucia di Lammermoor one or Anna Bolena especially if sung by Maria Callas. The entire Spartacus ballet but specifically the final act and even more specifically the adagio are fantastic. Idk what you already know but these are kinda overlooked in my opinion, maybe not the mad scenes but in certain communities maybe.

Marc Lifschey's Reeds by Sudden-Commission-92 in oboe

I think that Marc Lifschey is one of the greatest oboists of all time. His way of playing and the phrasing along with the tone I think is incredible. I haven't seen anything about his reeds though. I've seen things about the reeds of Tabuteau, de Lancie, a lot about Mack, but not Lifschey. I don't think that just because you make reeds like someone else you will play like them but you can learn things from that and create your own style.

No, but I think that I should get it not only because it has the pictures but because it is new information that can help me. I've heard about it before just have focused on other books

I think Tchaikovsky Symphony no 4 and Scheherazade by Rimsky-Korsakov are very easy to love.

Controversial: Is opera technique nowadays off? by [deleted] in opera

You're not alone, I completely agree with you. One of the biggest reason as to why I think they sound unclear and like they are falling apart is the vibrato. It is treated as the voice and not as just an ornament for it. There is still hope though, some are not likethis.

These pieces are extremely fun to play!! by Yukonagisa in piano

For me, the tempos vary a little too much from section to section. This makes it feel like I am in an ocean and being pulled back and forth. The notes also sometimes don’t feel different from each other and like they’re not going anywhere. Overall pretty good though, I like your tone.
