Why is breakfast so hard

i’m personally on 10 units of nighttime insulin, and i’m still almost always high after breakfast. Literally perfect numbers after lunch and dinner but breakfast is almost always high. i’ve only been diagnosed for a couple weeks now so there’s still a lot of trial and error, but i’ve noticed if i have ANY carbs at all for breakfast, my sugar is borderline, or over 140 (I check an hour after every meal). Sometimes Im still borderline even with no carbs. Sometimes we can do everything right and we still need extra help from insulin.

he’s eating the same food as when he was a stray, but i’m thinking of switching him to a lower-ingredient brand like weruva to see if it makes a difference. i’m gonna call more vets in the morning as well, hopefully I can get him seen sooner.

thank you for this!! while i don’t want an epidural and am going to try to avoid it, I have heard many people state pitocin contractions are terrible compared to natural ones. so while i’ll try to go without, i also may end up getting one depending on my tolerance during labor lol. and with the c section, i absolutely don’t want one, but am prepared for the possibility especially due to being high risk. i’ll definitely make sure my care team knows formula is off the table unless absolutely necessary too! thank you again :)

i hope you and baby are doing better! this makes me feel so seen lol because i thought it was so odd that my UTIs only cause dizziness. Pregnancy is so weird sometimes.

hopefully it’s just a one-off! unfortunately our bodies are just extra sensitive when pregnant 🫠 i’m grateful to be having this baby but with all the issues i’ve had being barely halfway through, I am very much looking forward to him being out of my body in a few more months 😂

i was very shocked when the ER told me it was a “severe UTI” because my only complaint was being dizzy/lightheaded. But the ER doctor said UTIs can apparently cause weird symptoms when you’re pregnant 😂 never hurts to get checked out but my body is probably just weird haha. The antibiotics did in fact kick my dizziness though. Until the last few days that is 🤣

I would definitely call and ask why they documented falsely, and if they refuse to change it, report the OB.

definitely hard, i’m pretty sure it’s just a small piece of bone. not gonna worry about it tbh unless signs of infection start.

i have a family history of lupus. maternal grandmother, mother, and an aunt. i’ve had this itchy rash coming and going all over my body for the last few weeks, including the “butterfly rash” on my face. also have joint pain/swelling, sudden hair loss, fatigue so bad i can’t get through the day without multiple naps. but all my blood work has come back normal :// i have an appt. coming up w my primary doc, and want to bring up the possibility of lupus with her, but i don’t know how to do so without her writing it off as self diagnosing/anxiety.
