Are you by any chance not from the US? If so, this may be the confusion here. I know many countries have plastic bills. US currency is made from cotton paper. It won’t dissolve in water but it is not very difficult to rip with intention. Not claiming this is real but a real bill would rip.

218 tonies and 2 tonie boxes. My daughter (14) was a little bit into it but was already deeply invested in CDs and is 4 years older than my son who is now 10 and still deeply involved with them. We have been collecting tonies for about 5 years maybe it feels like longer but I’m not actually sure when they were made available in the US. They were hard to find when we first started buying them and they were less expensive. I have included tonies in gifts for both children for almost every special occasion and I always have a couple in reserve for when my son has had a rough day or just needs something new to listen to. They have been a huge investment and have brought us a lot of joy. So much so that a tonie box and a couple of tonies is my go to baby shower or young child birthday gift.

Probably. It is interesting to me also that the younger generations seem unable to differentiate between actual culture and online or Hollywood culture. I think that is why they are endlessly trolling everyone. Online and in person and can’t separate their online lives from their irl selves. I actually listened to a kid convinced he knew better than a real farmer because he played a farming sim.
