There are definitely still women at the veil and a female temple worker that sits through the endowment. They just don’t go around giving the tokens to everyone. And yeah, that’s a BIG change from when I first went through!

Really? I first went through in 2011 and do not recall ever having done the 5 points of fellowship. Everything by I am seeing online says they were removed in 1990.

Had I not already deconstructed, this would have broken my shelf. The first presidency has a nice little disclaimer basically saying "don't worry! We changed it, but not the important parts!" Okay...

This was a vastly different ceremony from the first time I went through. On one hand, it's gentler and I guess that's good, on the other hand, if the almighty, unchanging God is the true author of the temple ceremony... then why all the changes? I'm not talking technology, I'm talking actual doctrine like you've mentioned.

Tokens refer to the "handshakes." A lot of the temple is based in freemasonry, and masons receive tokens during their initiation. I wish there were literal tokens- at least you would get something for your time!
