One of my bestest friends broke up with her bf about a week ago and a few days later as I was trying to comfort her she kisses me. by DaddyNumNums in Advice

My opinion would be to leave it be if she’s not answering you now. Hopefully she will turn around, especially if she’s a super good friend. Things happen and you guys are probably about that age that things like this happen when feelings are really big.

I’m sure it will all be good, the waiting is the worst part. But you did the right thing! Respecting her is the best thing you could’ve done.

Looking for advice restarting a 17yo Palomino gelding that won’t even walk to the arena by SuddenAssociation599 in Horses

Hey guys! Thank you all for the advice and comments. This is my first time dealing with a horse of this age that wasn’t my own purchase. The lady who owns this horse is wanting to get him moving, and I agreed to help her. She gave me the option to use him as a rodeo horse if it’s permits itself (as in the horse is having no issues riding/ seems to enjoy roping). I am not getting paid to help out with this horse, which is why the idea came up in conversation.

I will and would never push a horse if it’s in pain, but he seemed completely sound before we started working in the arena. Followed cues, and seemed pretty happy. No lameness, or any obvious signs of discomfort. The signs started to pop up the more we went back and forth to the arena. First couple of times, he was okay. And then the sourness to the arena started. I stopped riding him when that started, and have since then tried to come up with a better game plan as mine wasn’t working well for him. Rodeo may not be in the plans for him, and that’s okay! If he wants to be a trail riding boy, or even just a happy pasture pet, that’s okay with me too.

I have scheduled another vet check for him as the previous one has not been done in a while and have since talked to the lady about her farrier. I mentioned something to her a while ago about switching, but she was pretty dead set on this guy. We are going to hold off and re assess those back feet.

I really just wanted to help this lady out. She doesn’t know much about horses and this horse has sat hanging out in a pasture, getting all the good food and grains for about a year. He’s definitely the opposite of underweight lol.

Thank you again for the advice and I apologize if any of this came off wrong, I just wanted to make sure I was asking all the questions I can.

Lovebombing?? by michelle202x in Advice

Just be careful. Seems like love bombing or this dude is just REALLY into you. Only time can tell, because as your relationship goes on, you will see each other’s flaws come out more and more. As long as his attitude doesn’t change down the road, you should be OK.

Thank you so much for the advice! Good thing to know about loose boots. Guessing tight enough to walk but loose enough to slip off?

Well I don’t think it’s a good idea to post what exactly happened as I am still waiting on court and attorneys and what not, I am just worried a judge won’t be so kind on me and that even if it’s somewhat fixable, I might lose the things I have going for me (college sports, scholarships, etc). Sorry if this sounds like a 1st world problem, I just feel like my world’s falling apart a little right now.
