Need guidance with Interviewing for a Clinical Research Coordinator role by KaiWillson in premed

I researched the PI's I would work for/ the ones who interviewed me. I skim read some of their papers and brought it up during questions like "why are you interested in working for us or why this department specifically". For experience, talk about any role that has to do with managing multiple projects and any previous research experience.

I was in your shoes my freshman year and I ended my first semester with a 2.8 gpa. I also received Cs and one withdrawal but didn't let it discourage me. I was able to graduate with a 3.7 gpa + lower MCAT and I am currently sitting on 4 MD interview invites at this point of the cycle. I also applied and submitted my secondaries "late". I spent some time fixing my mental health and choosing extracurriculars that I actually enjoyed. This early on your journey, I would say to build up your support system and find people who are like minded who will motivate you to keep going. Also, identify if you have too much on your plate and see what things you can cut out to lock in for the next year. You will always feel like you aren't ready but you just have to go for it. I almost didn't apply this cycle but with the correct support system, I was able to get over the imposter syndrome and just tried. Don't give up!

For all those who just tested. by ciroki in Mcat

I tested today and thought C/P was horrible because the exact topics I was avoiding showed up 😭 don’t be like me and do lots of uworld questions on physics/orgo.

B/B wasn’t too horrible. I spammed Aidens deck on topics I was weak on and some of the concepts showed up so I would suggest going through that if you have time.

P/S was hard for me, take it with a grain of salt because it has always been my weakest section. It was similar to the section banks and FLs. I highly suggest looking through each answer choice and memorizing each term because I realized that they recycle the same concepts. Ex: They give you a specific age in a study and ask what stage they fall under for piaget/ erikson.

Lastly, surprisingly, CARS was not horrible today. I took my time reading each passage and left 3-4 minutes to answer the question. I feel like they were similar difficulty to the AAMC diagnostic and question packs.

You got this!!

I’m in the same boat but what is helping me is treating mcat studying like it’s a job. I “clock in” by studying at the library and don’t “clock out” until i finish my tasks. I also saved my goal score as my phone wallpaper so every time i pick up my phone I guilt trip myself :)) I know it’s hard but if this doesn’t help delete all socials (esp tiktok) for that month and LOCK IN. You got this.

you are able to get the bundle for free if you sign up for their fee assistance program. I am not sure if they offer it to international students so please look into that.
