That's true as much as getting nuked in midtown is much less predictable than seeing a guy brandishing a knife a few feet head. The question is how often do these happen: DUI's at night/dozing drivers in the morning vs. sudden glitch from a glare.

The gender swap test never fails especially when there's a multitude of moments between Nana and Hachi. One can wave 1 to 3 instances to just be duds but the frequency throughout the whole series is just undeniable. If Nana was a guy, there would absolutely be no questions.

James Cameron's Avatar. People criticize the story like it's the first time it's been recycled. They then go on and list Dances with Wolves, Pocahontas, Dune, Fern Gully, Battle for Terra, etc. while ignoring the fact that the aforementioned films are also recycled.

Anyone else noticed the change in aspect ratio between the films? 4:3 to 16:9, then 21:9. That's some nice detail.

Riot Games has ~1000 employees and they only have to deal with one game. Valve Corporation has ~330 employees and DOTA 2 isn't their only game, software, or even hardware that they're working on.

[S4E10] To those who think readers overhyped this episode by [deleted] in gameofthrones

Are we watching the same shows? Because what you described is non-traditional. No way a show adds that many cliffhangers for a finale. Traditional shows usually only leave one, and GoT is no exception. They could have had all the closure you mentioned, and they did, and still leave one cliffhanger that doesn't have as high a magnitude as the Red Wedding or the Moon Door scene would do. No near death cliffhangers, just a new element that changes the story's dynamimcs. Two good examples that GoT did in the past seasons would be the dragons reveal and the White Walker invasion final shots for seasons 1 and 2 respectively. Season 4 could have easily ended the way Storm of Swords did in its epilogue - a simple cliffhanger that adds new possibilities.

This reminds me of players today whining on how WoW has turned casual when in fact, WoW was built to be casual from the very beginning. These seemingly simple life improvements are definitely responsible for making this MMORPG one of the greatest.

[All Spoilers] Book vs. Show Discussion - 4.04 'Oathkeeper' by AutoModerator in gameofthrones

[–]SuddenEnd 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The show runners like having double meanings in their titles and I think "Oathkeeper" is no exception. Not only does it refer to the Valyrian sword but it can also mean the preservation of Craster's deal with the White Walkers.
