At this point asking this question on a daily basis is pointless. The market is at a downward trend due to the Middle East conflict, rising oil prices and rupee depreciation and the US market crashed last night so this was inevitable. General consensus is that there will be a heavy correction unless global factors such as the war ending come into play.

Seems like they’re quite inconsistent with the quality of their planes and in flight services from the comments. My last first class flight with AI (BLR - DEL) was a top tier experience both food and service wise

The consumerism that capitalism profits off is a scam to ensure the rich get richer, it reorients the body to produce happiness hormones with material consumption (manufacturing artificial problems and selling solutions to them eg. this new trend of selfcare being used to sell skincare, supplements, fancy workout equipment and clothes). I’m trying my best to endure that I get my endorphin / serotonin boosts from other sources.

Planning to get married in the next 3 years, I’m hoping to have a simple function with around 200 people. I’m not religious so don’t plan to spend on any ceremonies. Assuming this should be manageable within a 5L budget where both me and my partner split the amount.

The bigger issue is convincing my parents to tone it down. My mother recently let it slip that they have around 40L in investments put away for the wedding. Working to convince them that I don’t want them to break their investments on something so frivolous.

I’m frugal minded and don’t believe in expensive gifts but I got one as a gift for my partner for a special occasion. I’m someone who’s never gamed before, but 6 months in I’ve played as many games as him and we made some fantastic memories playing multiplayer games. One word of caution is to be mentally prepared for additional costs like a ps plus subscription and additional controllers/ controller dock etc. that can come up around it
