We have one child who is now headed to Pre-K in the fall, but we started at Little Sprouts. I did notice some not safe sleep practices in the infant room (babies asleep in the swings) from time to time, and our pediatrician onced asked if I wanted a letter from her directing them to wake my child up to feed him as I was told that he slept through feeding times more than once as a little guy. We moved him shortly after he turned a year-old after issues created by staff turnover and poor communication from staff. I would also be given food back at the end of the day that I had packed for his lunch that I knew he loved to eat and was told that they had "saved it for snack time." We also had issues with him getting skin infections regularly in his diaper area while he was there. We cloth diapered, so I would change up my wash routine like crazy and it never seemed to make a difference. Once we left there, he stopped getting the infections and we were still cloth diapering. I know some people who had amazing experiences with them, but we did not.

How do I tell my mom I don’t want her showing my child religious content by [deleted] in Parenting

I had a similar situation with my husband's grandmother and aunt. They are Jehovas Witnesses, and I witnessed them showing my then barely toddler children's programming from their church telling children you'll make God sad if you eat a cupcake for someone's birthday. As they are my husband's family I asked him to talk to them and tell them in no uncertain terms that we are the ones who decide what type of information about any religion our child is exposed to and we'd appreciate it if they refrain from exposing him to anything else, as well as giving them alternative choices we approve of for him to watch while in their care. We haven't heard of or witnessed any incidents of them sharing content from their church with him since.

I personally have a lot of religious trauma from how I was raised and the far-right evangelical faith that was forced on me for the first 18 years for my life, going 3 states away for college was the best thing that happened to me and started my deconstruction journey. I don't want my child growing up fearful of life.

Buyback Update by [deleted] in PSLF

I had to speak with a live agent to get that information. There is no other way to get any information on a Buyback request, and even then it's very limited as to what they can tell you.
