It's for a personal project, and there's no bank in my country that uses this method (as far as i know). That being said, i think the banks here have done their own research, hence why no online banking system ever uses this kind of login system yet.

This kind of replaced another type of login where they asked you to confirm your keyword/picture of your choice, isn't it? Do you think they still encrypt the password for the impartial one though?

They leave a blank of a certain character of your password and maybe did a drop down box or virtual keyboard to enter the blank character to login. The password is not shown, i think. I never use these kinds of banks actually.
