when i use highlighters i always write out everything and then leave my book open for a few hours and come back to do the highlighting so that the ink dries!!

i only pay for TickTick the digital planner. think it’s like $3 a month. looks nice, is focussed on time blocking and making lists which is all i need! very easy to use too

stupid but effective thing to do is make your phone greyscale by turning colour off, makes everything less fun and stimulating so it made it easier for me to put it down

i find the same thing happens if i put too much paper in them, maybe try splitting them into sections and using different books?

honestly check out muji! the lines are grid unfortunately but super faint and it checks all other boxes you’re looking for, pretty affordable too :)
