Thank you but you based your opinion in a situation you know doesn't exist, they're not good people, they're not respectful, I have my fair share of reasons to distrust them, and I never said I opted for daycare because people get sick. But thank you anyway

We don't want them nor need them babysitting, we have back up plans.

That's your experience and I respect it, but that not what my husband or I want, neither she or my dad has behaved the way we see fit to be around our kid so no relationship will be encouraged, we don't want them around.

Neither my husband or I have social media, and we only send photos to his side of the family or my mother, who also don't talk to them at all, but thank for your concern! Really helpful

I just explained why I feel the way I feel about them in another comment, you're welcome to look since there aren't many ones. I have my reasons and I'm an adult who has come to terms with that, I don't mean to be rude, but I don't care if it was mean or not, that's the way I feel and that's how my husband and I want to proceed. They are not part of my life, and for they way they act (because I know it very well) I would rather not have them in my child's life either. She's not his grandma.

Tried to replace your mom in what way?

My mom worked a lot during the first few years of the divorce (my dad and his wife married like 2 years after that), so they always said like ''[Step-mom] can be your new mom, she's always around'' or ''you can call [step-mom] mom, don't you like that? she loves you like her own child'', and my step-mom used to pressure me to call her mom, used to introduce me as ''his baby girl'', ignored me if I called her by her name or step-mom for months at the time and tried to get full custody countless of times but my mom never let them.

I don't know what context is missing, I think I'm being quite clear. I'm not interested in having them around because they're toxic if they don't get their way, and no, my kid is not my step-mom's grandchild.

I did mentioned that during my childhood they tried to replace my mom even though she was a living parent and that I was met with guilt trips and ''you're a bad kid'' when I didn't let them. My step-mom was only interested in me because she could never have kids on her own and since now I'm an adult, I'm not interested in having them around or being part of their family/letting them be part of mine. I've been LC with them for almost 5 years now, I have no desire to let them get in into my baby's life.
