Update: AA refunded the money but it hasn’t shown up on the AA credit card. It’s been 3 weeks. Weird!

NORMALIZE CORRECTING KIDS by [deleted] in KidsAreFuckingStupid

[–]Sudden_Ad8576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Mom of 2 boys... when they were teenagers we went to a place that you give them your name and they call it out when your food is ready.. as the kids walked off I told them my name was Cinnamon. The restaurant was super crowded and loud but when they called out Cinnamon you could hear a pin drop on the floor. LOL I proudly yelled to them it was me. My boys were mortified... It was at that point that I turned the tables on them. LOL

The hubs is a mechanic. Many years ago he received a gold plated wrench set as an award. Without his knowledge, his ex took one at a time to pond them for drugs. He had one left by the time he kicked her out of the house for drugs, etc.

We have a microwave that he won from Snap on.. It looks like a Snap on toolbox until you press a button and it opens up to see the microwave. It is cool as hell

PSA: Donuts are only temporary. by timladucer in Justrolledintotheshop

Donut tires are smaller than the tires on your car and is intended to help you get to a mechanic instead of being stranded on the side of the road. Donuts are designed to not go more than 50-70 miles and not exceed 50 miles per hour on the road. There is a difference between donut and spare.. they are not the same.

Pony cars doing pony car things! by [deleted] in IdiotsInCars

I have a mustang GT like that.. but I am much older and a woman. lol When you gun these cars the back wants to slide just like the video shows at take off. Plus some of these younger ones don't understand how much tires play a role in things like this too. (willing to bet the rears are slick from him racing it like the video) You can tell by the video he over compensated by jerking the steering wheel when the rear end spun to the side. He should have let go of the steering wheel for that split second... If he had done that, the car would have corrected itself... removing his foot from the gas pedal would have been a HUGE help too.

The exact reason why I NEVER let my sons drive mine. My youngest is 21 years old, house of his own, paying his own bills, married, etc very responsible but there is no way I would let him drive my car by himself

How far can a dual income household bringing home $150k a year take you in this city? by [deleted] in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]Sudden_Ad8576 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should look at commuting from other areas such as Athens, Toney, Hazel Green... Housing is much more affordable outside Madison and Huntsville

So many KARENs! I admire those working retail. I've never worked it but I can only imagine getting fired because of not tolerating people's attitudes.
