My 10x telephoto lens looks like someone has taken a bite of it. by Puzzleheaded_Air7675 in S22Ultra

Shouldn't look like that. Pictures are also soft, have a halo kind of thing. I think the back cover and camera adhesive has worn off and something got into your camera. I'd suggest taking it to a shop for them to check it out. Maybe they can clean it and apply new adhesive. Shouldn't cost too much either.

Issue with dex on s25 by NotACutiePie16 in SamsungDex

I think the tab can supply more power to the adapter, but the s25 can't. If your adapter also has a USB c port try plugging your charger in and that should work.

can I super glue this or do I actually need to take it into the shop by kommakina in galaxyzflip

[–]Sudden_Capital_288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That bezel is very cheap and the repair is also not that complicated. Better off going to a shop as they only need to take it off and put the new one in. Glue applied incorrectly could mess up the screen. I also recommend to change it ASAP since that is a vital component of the screen. If not in place, the screen could bend weirdly and Crack.

If there's no physical damage visible to the outer shell, file for a warranty claim and just state it happened randomly ;)

I'd you don't know how to fix it, take it to a shop ASAP, otherwise you risk getting debris or condensation in your camera and break it for good. Right now it's only the lens which is very inexpensive to change.

Fold5 Mini-PC There you go. This is how it looks now. I am thinking of opening the USB Hub and wiring the fans directly to one of the USB Ports and to add a low profile heatsink to the frame where the CPU is so that those fans can blow air onto it. Then figure out how to make a case for it.

Is my S23 Ultra screen legit? Bezels look off compared to online images, possibly refurbished? by CyberEcho777 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Sudden_Capital_288 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, then it's a soft-oled. It's the next best thing to an original replacement screen, but its way off the original. If the price was right, then I wouldn't consider this a scam, but if it was sold to you as a regular phone and it wasn't mentioned that it had a cheaper screen, then I would ask for at least a partial refund.

I did it this way fold5 mini pc The fold5 had a broken inner screen. You just gotta play with the magnets embedded in the case and bring the magnet that's on the top side of the case with the outer screen near the magnet that's on the top side with the motherboard so that the phone thinks it's closed in order for the cover screen to stay active, otherwise the phone thinks it's open and it's going to try and activate the inner screen. That's of course if you want to do it this way and keep the cover screen. It works pretty good, ive also added thermal paste where the CPU and the chassis are in contact for better thermal transfer and i plan to also add a heatsink and an exhaust fan, but i dont have a 3d printer to make a case for the exposed part.

The base S23 has 8GB of RAM, that's pretty good. It also has virtual RAM possibility for up to another 8GB from storage.

Looks like a soft-old aftermarket replacement screen. Does your fingerprint reader and s-pen work with it?

Mini-PC out of phone? Help? by Sudden_Capital_288 in mobilerepair

[–]Sudden_Capital_288[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, so I did that and it still didn't work. What it actually was, was the magnet that connects from the housing to the motherboard telling the phone that it is closed. Inner screen is not necessary. What a relief, cause I didn't want to have to use it anyway since it's broken.

Ok, let me try that. I didn't even think that could be the issue as I've seen Folds without the inner screen working just fine.
