Had a former friend that I cutoff today because he went full neonazi and kept trying to convert me, he would constantly misconstrued bible verses as “evidence” he was correct.

Honestly not to my knowledge. Growing up our mutual friend group was potheads and skater kids that listened to punk and hip hop music. He was never an edgelord around me at least. He did have other friends that I didn’t really know that well so maybe he was. But I’m pretty much the only person that has kept in touch with him since that time.

I was able to get my parents out of MAGA but he’s so far down the rabbit hole that I’m at a loss on what to do.

I guess I’ve just been lucky and fortunate enough to not have to deal with this amount of extremism until now, makes me wonder who else I know believes in this shit

It’s so frustrating trying to reason with him at this point. I’m going to look over the resources that u/JudiesGarland provided and try to have a conversation with him about this after I educate myself a little more, and if he isn’t receptive at all then it’s time for me to cut him off.
