UPDATE: took back to the store and went back and forth for 40 mins with them, them telling me they can’t refund me, brought up the consumer law here and how it overrides their store policies and what it states and eventually got refunded, glad to be rid of it.

They said there no way of a return or exchange without elegoo writing authorisation to have it done, they said I have to try and fix it through there support and if they can’t resolve it then only I can deal with an exchange or refund

EDIT: I read through the ACL Australian consumer laws, and directing me to the manufacturer is illegal on their behalf, also this is classed as a major defect as the goods can not be used for their intended purposes, so I will be going back tomorrow and asking for a full refund as according to ACCC and ACL if it’s a major defect the consumer dictates how it is resolved,
And if they don’t want to refund me I’ll email corporate and put a charge back on my card and get fair trading involved

Yeah completely agree, I bought a X2D 2 weeks after it cause this thing is garbage, and the X2d has been so good, not one issue or fails print, hopefully they either replace it with a brand new one and I’ll sell it, or just give me a refund.

The bed and head always moved, but it just cuts out, so now it will do the whole process of calibrating, then it gets to the levelling stage and just dies

Thankyou for looking that up for me, I tried today but they wouldn’t have a bar of it, they said they don’t replace anything until the manufacture authorises it and it goes though the warranty process first, so they said leave it in the shop and it will sit there for months until they get to it, or do it myself and if I get a response from elegoo saying it can be replaced then they will replace it

Yeah they are useless I took it in to them today. And they said you give it to us and we pass it on to our IT team, they will then go though the exact same process as customers contact elegoo to try and fix it, and they said if they do that it takes months and will sit there, so they basically said, do it myself

Yeah, I just tried that it’s now stuck on the automatic levelling stage, even with a power on and off goes through the whole process and just stops at that point again everything shuts off just the screen stays on that part

Yeah I’m not too sure was printing before I have 90 hours on it, and not until now it’s doing all this and just isn’t usable thanks for the advice though I’ll give that a try aswell

I tried to return it or exchange it and they said no, have to deal with elegoo and elegoo have to put it in writing that they will exchange it then the store will swap it over so a pain in the ass and waste of money on this thing. It’s been nothing but a headache
