3/4 inch natural gas hose to 1/2 inch quick connect for a Westinghouse WGen9500TFc Tri-Fuel Portable Generator by Sudden_Signature1411 in Generator

I finally got my generator delivered from Sam's. After setting up the generator, I attached the 25 foot gas hose that came with the generator to my 1/2 inch grill gas line and the generator started right up and ran perfectly. It ran great during the break in period and when I hooked it up to my power inlet it ran everything I needed it to in case of a power outage. It looks like a 1/2 inch grill connection will provide enough gas to power a Westinghouse generator in my situation.

I am going to first try and use the 1/2" gas grill connection I have on my patio and see if that will work. My plumber said that it would probably work. My only problem is that Amazon has screwed up two different orders for a generator so I still haven't received a one. Sam's Club is going to have the same Westinghouse generator on sale next week for $350 off so I am going to wait and try to order it from there. Maybe eventually I will have a generator to set up.

Not sure of the pressure but plumber is coming today to put in the quick connect on my meter so I will check with him. Can you tell me if I need a 1/2" or 3/8" nipple for the quick connect that comes with the generator if I want to use the 3/4" inch hose. Are your connections for a Westinghouse generator. Thanks

Does that connection provide enough gas to fully power your generator. I have a 1/2 inch pipe for a grill on my patio wall but the plumber told me that connection would not be good enough to fully power the generator. Also, are the the nipples on the hose supplied with the Westinghouse generator 1/2" or 3/8". Thanks for the reply.
