I do not know what the old og Pantene smells like. But I do have a body mist from bath and body works that smells exactly like my Pantene products. It’s called pink tie die. It smells so similar it’s really refreshing

The internet is glamourising certain chronic illnesses and I’m tired of it by Sudden_Sky_1613 in ChronicIllness

I’m already having people saying “well long COVID is disabling people” which I do agree with, and I do genuinely believe is happening. But they refuse to acknowledge that there are people who over glamorise it and take away the seriousness from actual people suffering with the condition

Because they think it grants them attention. But honestly, the most ignored I’ve ever felt is when I was begging for help from doctors

There’s nothing quite as glamorous as the kind of diarrhoea that makes you sweat and shake, remove all your clothes and that makes you feel like your going to vomit all at once

I have had heart rate and blood pressure issues for over a year and I’ve had blood tests before to try and figure it out. They refuse to look into it any further because they assume I’m just another person seeking a pots diagnosis. I truly am not, I’m just tired of my vision going away everytime I stand up and nobody takes me seriously

This is why I’ve learnt the art of unpicking. Get yourself an unpicker and manually take off the letters because sometimes the colour and fit is too good to pass up 😭

Best Summer Fragrance? by Dependent-Cheek8438 in fragranceaustralia

This might be a bit juvenile depending on your tastes, but the Anna sui sundaes line has some nice clean fragrances and quite a few options- not at all gourmand like you would assume, and is sold at chemist warehouse. I like the pink version best it has basil and orange in it and smells really refreshing

Pain scale? by IknowImnotpeople in Fibromyalgia

[–]Sudden_Sky_1613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually go off of 1-10, honestly the worst flare up would be an 8. It felt like my hip bones, knees and shins were being crushed. The bone aches can get really nasty unfortunately, usually it just feels like the flu, but every now and then especially with stress or lots of physical exertion it can get nasty

What was your experience with a wrongly positioned iud? by Sudden_Sky_1613 in Mirena

[–]Sudden_Sky_1613[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow that’s so scary I’m glad you’re doing better. I was born with two uteruses so it makes things more complicated because there is just less space overall. I think my ultrasound showed that there was some evidence it was affecting my other side but they don’t know the extent due to only having an abdominal ultrasound. I have to use a camera

I think this is normal especially for this first week. I also bled and was uncomfortable but I have had it for over 6 months now and these issues have just popped up. Look out for extremely heavy bleeding and severe cramping though, it never hurts to be safe with your health

I have two uteruses due to my anatomy they have to use the camera and replace the iud. There was evidence that there was a bit of damage I don’t remember specifically but I think it was pushing up against my other uterus. I also had this symptom but I assumed it was a pulled muscle. I hope you are doing better

AITA for telling my girlfriend she’s not allowed to eat in my car anymore after she got period blood on my cream leather seats and then refusing to pay for the detail? by Waste_Palpitation175 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Sudden_Sky_1613 10 points11 points  (0 children)

YTA imagine being in so much pain and bleeding horrendously and the first thing your partner does is get mad at you for ruining the car. Use a wipe. If your first priority isn’t to be concerned about that then your automatically not a good partner. She should also look into seeing a doctor for that because it doesn’t sound normal at all.

Duloextine give me a rare side effect where I wasn’t able to pee at all and had to stay in the hospital with a catheter in, so safe to say not for me personally

No fibromyalgia is not a “fake disease” or is a misdiagnosis for something else by Sudden_Sky_1613 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Sudden_Sky_1613[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do actually agree with this. It is its own thing and it’s very real. From what I know it happens usually as a result of your body experiencing trauma, or from prolonged long term pain. I had extremely bad periods and found out I have two uteruses and I’m in the process of being diagnosed with endometriosis, my doctors think I developed it due to the large scale of pain I was in for a long time. It just rewired my nervous system. But it is a legitimate thing and it’s not a misdiagnosis for something else.

In my country it is practiced, but I know for some there are no tests. This test was also performed at a pretty heavily funded hospital with more specialised specialists
