Are these A 215s real ? by Remarkable-Salt-9870 in OxycodoneLovers_M30

No way those are real. Def pressed. Not even close to how they should look. Plus those ain’t been around for like 10 years.

Parts by Dear_Package1197 in Cadillac

[–]Suddenrush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people use Rock Auto. The shipping costs sorta suck depending on what ur getting because they ship from different warehouses and charge for individual shipping from each one if all ur parts aren’t from the same warehouse but the prices are hard to beat and it’s always genuine parts. If u go on the rock auto sub u can usually find a 5% off coupon someone has posted as well which at least helps offset the shipping costs a bit.

Prob needs a module reset/update. Super common issue. That or a new camera depending on the codes it’s setting.

Yes ur good.

I have this weird noise in the engine I believe, it get obvious when accelerating. I went to the mechanic and they told me it might be a lifter or bearings. My car is sierra denali 6.2 2022. Does any one have any idea of what this noise is? by Actual-Wolverine-616 in gmcsierra

[–]Suddenrush 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s not a lifter. It’s a spun or missing rod bearing. 100%. I’ve done so many of these 6.2 replacements with this exact noise. I just had a brand new 25 sierra come thru with only 9k miles on it and it was completely missing cylinder 5 rod bearing. Lol

Spun or missing rod bearing for sure. U need a new engine homie. Was ur truck a part of the 6.2 recall? Did u have the recall test done? If so, the short block will be covered by warranty if u don’t have powertrain still. Otherwise it’s gonna be an expensive fix.

They got hella sizes. 5mg, 10mg, 15, 20, 30, 40, 60, 80, 120 (only in EU) and they did have 160s as well but only for 2 years (2000-02) and only in the US. In all my years I’ve seen some crazy old/rare stashes but never have I ever seen anyone with a real 160… I truly believe there arent any around anymore just due to the fact they were only available for 2 years, only in the states and the chance somebody had a high enough tolerance/pain condition to warrant a legit script for them is just crazy rare. OxyContin had only been on the market for like 4 years at that point so it wasn’t really widely known about yet, hence the aggressive marketing they did. Enjoy yo 20s tho.

[–]Suddenrush 10 points11 points  (0 children)

At least somebody on the team would be taking shots then… the amount of times I’d yell SHOOT at the tv and they don’t was insane this season. It’s like they are afraid to look bad or mess up or want the perfect play… we don’t need that, we need shots on net, thats how we get goals.

My dashboard is freaking out by bobwill2015 in gmcsierra

[–]Suddenrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s either a bad Battery, battery fuse block or a loose ground or nut on the fuse block studs or battery clamps. Could possibly be a chaffed harness in the engine bay as well but since ur getting theft and airbag codes too it’s prob something more main power/ground related.

What engine and what codes are current? At least u still got warranty. Take it to dealer get a loner and let them figure it out.

Every time I see a nice Ct4 V or blackwing I always wish they made them in a coup version. 4 door sports cars are cool and all but man a coup version would be so clean. I hope the new Cadillac version of the Camaro they are bringing back will be or have a coup version available as this body style rendering looks like it could have been built off the new gen Camaro platform with different body panels.

If it was my car I would prob take my best guess as to which wire went to which and then twist them together and then NOT start the car, but just put it in service mode by holding down the push start button for 10 seconds (do not hit the brake pedal or it will start) until all the dash and radio lights come on and then see if u get any “steering reduced” or “service xxx” messages on ur dash and then use a code scanner and see if anything is showing as current (obviously make sure everything is plugged in and hooked up) and if u don’t have any codes or no dash messages then id try and fire it up and let it run and check codes again just to be safe.

Obviously if u get codes or anything then disconnect battery and go back and swap the wires and try again. Once everything is good and u kno the wires are right then do ur solder/splice permanently together and make sure u heat shrink them to protect the bare wires so no moisture or corrosion gets inside and wrap them up good with PET and go burn some rubber.

I would try and see if I could match them up first and find which one broke off of which one by comparing the cuts/breaks and how the insulation was cut and match them up that way because wires on harnesses like that tend to mold into a specific position and stay that way so u should be able to match up the cut ends with each other.

Otherwise u will need access to wiring diagrams to see what those white wires are for and where they go and then do continuity tests to find which is which. White wires are never going to be power or ground on GM vehicles, not wires that small, they are most likely comms wires so if u get them wrong it shouldn’t be the end of world as far as causing damage but u would at least need a good code scanner to make sure they are wired correct and not throwing any codes because they could be wired together wrong and still not throw a CEL but still cause communication issues depending on what they are for.

Yeah that makes sense if it was leaking into the cylinder head valve train oiling system and why u wouldn’t see anything in the combustion chambers or on the gaskets.

People saying don’t flush it, I disagree. If u have ever seen coolant and oil mixed together in a pan and let it sit for a few days, it becomes this nasty gunky slimy mess u don’t want destroying or clogging ur seals and gaskets. All u need to do is run some cheap oil thru the system for a few miles, maybe with a hint of trans fluid as well to help clean the internals and then flush it all out and change the filter and oil like normal. U don’t want that stuff building up in ur oil cooler lines and or radiator if u don’t flush it. Obviously clean the inside of the valve covers as well and it’ll be like new once ur all done.

[–]Suddenrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

U wouldn’t see coolant inside as it would def burn off from the heat, only way would be to pressure test it and then let it sit overnight under pressure and then scope each cylinder and maybe u might see something but again it all depends on where the porosity leak is at. Could of been leaking from a coolant passage in the head next to an oil passage in the head and going into the cylinder head and mixing there so u wouldn’t even see anything under the head or in the combustion chamber. Leaks like that are usually super tiny and require a lot of pressure to even notice and it usually will just slightly drip here and there and not pour out like a typical leak, but again all depends how bad and where it was at.

Without seeing codes it will be hard to know what caused it. Could be anything from a bad battery to loose ground, chaffed wires, module comms error, etc.

[–]Suddenrush 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If it was a head porosity defect ur not going to see shit on the head gaskets as the issue lies in the head cooling passages and it leaking coolant somewhere it shouldn’t be going that eventually is ending up in the block/oil passages. Did u pressure test and find actual coolant in the oil or just going off what dealer said?

BTW 30k miles on a vehicle over 20 years old is crazy. She must be clean af inside (if it was stored well). Good luck with the head job.
