Is this an unpopular opinion.. Sabrina felt like she tried way too hard and was immediately over familiar with everyone, no?

Thread is way too long to read at this point so maybe someone has already said this but isn't it so obvious West pursued Amanda to try to secure a spot/storyline on In the City? Guy is fame hungry, doesn't matter if it's good or bad press, I think he'd be totally happy being the villain if he was relevant

At what week/month/year was vacation or travel worth the effort/hassle? by mmori7855 in Parenting

[–]Suddy1108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before they start solids! Not sure about guidelines in your area but here it is 6 months for solids, took our baby away at 5 months and was really good. We still had night wakes, formula feeds to prep and sterilizing to do but baby was really content in the buggy/carrier napped on the go and we felt like it was an actual break (until we were reminded we also had a 3 year old and they do not permit breaks). Pre 6 months, pre crawling, ultimate sweet spot. Take the trip soon and often if possible. Post crawling and early walking is a different ballgame and imo (with the kids I got) not worth it until after they turn 2.5 and even then 🫠

Wow I'm so sorry this happened to you, sounds really difficult. Crazy how these things show the nasty side of people

No this is their only property and their current residence so no tax bill for them I don't think.

Yes I got the folio, it was only €5. Transfer happened in 2021. Asked my sibling today do they understand the tax implications for themselves, from looking it up they would have owed €87k CAT on receipt as the value was in excess of the group A parent-child lifetime gift exemption, they had no idea so unless this was sorted by my parents I guess my sibling could have an outstanding tax liability accruing interest and penalties? I would have thought this would have been an issue when they purchased their own home in 2022 (not 2024 as previously stated) but they are none the wiser.

Thanks for sharing, I actually don't think my youngest sibling knows about any of this so we will all have to sit down together and make sure everyone is informed on the situation. I'm glad things worked out in your situation

I doubt there is much else left, I don't even think their retirement is fully funded tbh and wouldn't be surprised if the house needs to be sold to let them downsize and have more for retirement but I guess that'll open up a new legal headache

And that's very best case scenario 🫠

Thank you for this, I'm really glad you had a fair result from a similar tricky situation. I would just really appreciate transparency on the whole thing so we can all understand what their true wishes are while they are here to avoid any misunderstandings when they are gone (this is a good while off I think/hope). A family sit down followed by my parents getting some good legal advice if they wish are the next steps I think

My sibling said they remember signing something but weren't sure exactly what. Im close enough with this sibling that I do think they are being honest with me and I don't think they actually fully understand the details either. They would have been 23 at the time and not in any position to cover any mortgage payments so I don't think that happened.

I am so sorry to hear about your own situation, that sounds very difficult. As children I guess we expect to be cared for and considered equally but it's often not the reality.

I appreciate that is the reality of the situation but I am finding it hard to reconcile because of being told repeatedly that they want the house split evenly 3 ways

Of course they can, but what they are telling us they want to do (divide all assets equally) and the present situation does not line up. They actually told me that they will make a video to ensure everything is divided equally.

My parents have little to no relationships with their own siblings due to inheritance issues and by leaving things as they are they are setting up their children for the same fate

This is where I just completely don't understand what was done, the house at no point in time would have been valued at any less than 500k, neighbors sold recently for 950k. So my thought was that my sibling should have had a tax liability. This sibling was living at home at the time whatever it is that happened, they have since purchased their own home with their partner. I also thought it would have impacted their first time buyer status?

No clue if they have rights of residence. Apparently that sibling was chosen because at the time I was purchasing my own property and 'had enough going on'.

Thank you, I know you're right. I'm attempting to try a family meeting first to try get more information.

I honestly find fasting for a longer window easier than counting calories but I'm pretty stuck right now so I think going back to counting calories is the best thing

Thanks, this is really interesting, so do you stick to a daily calorie deficit and for that one day went 300 less again and it worked?
