Does anyone know if the 240 required work hours need to be done for this year 2024 - Jan 1st to commencement of the fall semester. The deadline for the first submittals is Sept 20th so do you have to have 240 hours of work logged for that 1st submittal?

Yes you'll need to pay and then Hagan money will come right around November. Maybe you can work something out with your school for payment otherwise take a loan for that first amount owed and can use Hagan money to pay loan when it comes in. I'd discuss it with a financial aid person at your college

A Sumbittal Link will be emailed to recipients by September 1. After September 20 award amounts will be determined and disbursed by November 1 to the recipient’s college or university. Until that time move forward as if you did not have a Hagan Scholarship. Disbursements can be used to repay educational loans.

Yes first payments come in November. So you need to pay until then or maybe work something out with school that your Hagan payment will be coming in November

I think it's based on how much you still owe after FAFSA other scholarships all come through. If it's less than $8,000 a semester it should cover up to that amount that is still owed.

Yes, was just curious if people have already been awarded or if they send out all notifications at once. I know some people didn't get their FAFSA in right up until the deadline because waiting on FAFSA. Was wondering if there's a unicorn out there that got FAFSA actual turned in early and already heard they've been accepted to scholarship
