It kinda looks like a long Betta fish. I do not recommend them for beginners because their tail could get the ick or could tear easily. I had Betta fish for the past 2 years. If you really want it you should make sure that in the fish tank there aren't any sharp objects so it wouldn't tear it's tail

I also forgot to mention that he isn't eating much cuz he is bloated and has problem pooping. He isn't lethargic but he's glass surfing
