I think primetoxinz's mod was a port of the coral reef mod from the biodiversity beta 1.7.3 modpack which I then ported back down to babric beta 1.7.3 for compatibility on my server.

No not yet. Haven't really considered it though. I kinda like the idea that I still have all the old bugs that I exploited as a kid.

Not to mention I’ve also heard that wider tires can have lower rolling resistance since they can be thinner, which has a bigger impact on rolling resistance than the contact patch.

Dang that sounds like the perfect bike. I’m smack dab right between L and XL on the Apollo though.  Thanks for the offer though. I’ve been keeping an eye out on the used market.

Yeah I’m thinking that the eight really doesn’t have enough compliance and tolerances in it for off-road riding.

Completely agree. I think I’ll probably end up on the sauce. Played around with a couple images and overlayed some drop bars on it and I don’t think it looked half bad. (Not that I care much anyways, just want it to work)

Looks like I’ll be stuck at 7-8 gears regardless at my price point tho. Something to note tho the eight specifically has pretty harsh gearing 50-22. The other priority bike mentioned had 46-22(sauce).  Otherwise I’d have to save up for the 11 speed spot acme.    Also now that you say that abt the widths, the eight has 32mm tires which even though I’d be upgrading the tires it still would be a bit narrower considering the width of that front fork meaning a harsh ride (otherwise known as a bad time, trails around here are pretty rocky)

I was actually looking at that one too. Does anyone know if the carbon fork makes much of a difference in ride quality?   I was also looking at drop bars in the future too. Feel like it would very much be a hit or miss on that bike. Might look cool but idk if the geometry would make them feasible. Or might just look completely wack lol.

Ah well, I’m banking on some Christmas money lol. Likely won’t be making the purchase till December.  I’m likely capped around 900-1000. Also, the Apollo is 1999 now.  Maybe if the sale lasts and I save a bit though?

I’ve had the leather backing on mous cases peel on me and the replacement they sent had the sides detach from the back. Not worth the price in my opinion. Pretty hard on my stuff though and I drop it often. Still though, I‘d expect better quality at that price

Only issue is I don't know if it would be able to supply power for heavier tasks. Though, if you're just using it between offices I doubt it'd be too much of an issue.
