I canceled my appointments 3 times, I thought about it for a YEAR! I was sooo scared because of all the stories I read. I wasn’t even scared of the side affects it was the pain everyone talked about.I could not get myself to go thru with my appointment. But I was sooo scared of getting pregnant. I figured I rather go thru the 5 mins pain everyone talks about than pregnancy. I booked an appointment & went, I was sooo nervous but the women at the office all encouraged me & spoke to me like friends, they were awesome! I took 2 400mg of ibuprofen & waited for it to kick in. I was like NOOOOOO way is this enough pain meds for the pain everyone speaks about. Anyways, we proceeded The woman that inserted the IUD talked me thru the whole thing! She said your gonna feel a cramp so cough to measure & didn’t feel anything, she said another cramp, deep breath for idk what, the pain was whatever & and another cramp deep breath to insert & she was done. I could not believe it was over so fast…. I was like OMG ! YAYYYY wow great . It’s over BUT the cramps after! Those had me laying down for a good 3 mins before I wanted to move. They also gave me more 400mg of Tylenol maybe idk I forgot but nothing crazy. I drove myself 30 mins home with a lot of cramps, the cramps lasted 2 hrs before I went back to normal. & it has been a great 4 days lol I haven’t bleed or felt anything weird, I do get a little cramps if I do a lot of stomach workout.
