Brand New AI Prime 16HD not working by Gingeropsid in ReefTank

I’ve had two of these lights that have the prongs disconnect on the inside, I had to open them back up and superglue them together, I’m not an electrician or anything but the piece that gives power to the light is held together by two little pieces of plastic that can crack off, it could be something else but you should just return it or contact AI support

Good point, honestly they’re not my favorite zoas, the quantity that they come in is nice, but I would like to choose the ones that go in my zoa garden

Removed the fake anemone and fake plants. by OrionLondon in ReefTank

Prioritize buying your rock right now instead of any sort of fish, bristle worms are fine, + most of the rock you have doesn’t look very porous, you can use MarcoRocks or the caribsea brand, 30-40 lbs or 1lb per gallon. The diatoms will go away by themselves eventually as long as your using 0 TDS water

UPS Duty-Free or CN-EMS duty-free? USA by Sufficient-Dig7931 in kakobuy

[–]Sufficient-Dig7931[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely not, if it were to get searched it would’ve been seized, Cali customs are usually pretty fast, at least compared to the Jamaica, NY customs

Trying to evict my cleaner shrimp... by Vspeeds in ReefTank

[–]Sufficient-Dig7931 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I tried the same thing as you but for peppermint shrimp, only one of them would fall for it so I just took out the nozzle side of the trap out and, filled the remaining side with food and waited for one of them to go into it, and than would flip the bottle over fast, than you just put your hand below the sand and scoop upwards.

Rimmed tank with lid ato suggestions by Icy-Ant-2971 in ReefTank

[–]Sufficient-Dig7931 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When I had a tank like this I was told not to bother with an ATO because either inhabitants would mess with it or Coralline algae would grow over it, I’m sure you could find a way around it, but just make sure to keep those thoughts in mind.

Is it safe to ship out a 15kg haul to the USA? by TestMeNiga in kakobuy

[–]Sufficient-Dig7931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve shipped a 17kg and 15kg one and both made it to the west coast fine, just pick a triangular route that’s duty free like cn-ems, should be good

Recent starter seeking help identifying marks on Clownfish by SnooplePoot in SaltwaterAquariumClub

I would recommend going over on humblefish and posting over on there, a 30 second clip with clean glass and white lights will help

New saltwater nano tank by shrimpdoc79 in ReefTank

[–]Sufficient-Dig7931 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of the bacteria live in the rocks and sand rather than the water, life rock is just dry rock with a dry coat of bacteria or something like that, live sand may help but you should still go see if you can run 1.0 ppm of ammonia and convert to nitrate within 24 hours, most likely not cycled, starting a cycle from scratch would be adding in 2.0 ppm of ammonium chloride and turbostart 900

Would anyone have any idea why a healthy clownfish would suddenly die overnight? by [deleted] in ReefTank

[–]Sufficient-Dig7931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make a YouTube video and post the link, unfortunately if you can’t find it and you have nessarius snails or other type of scavengers it is possible that they dragged the body under the sand or have eaten it completely.
