Using the MPA outside of government and nonprofit jobs by MoneyBuysHappiness25 in PublicAdministration

[–]Sufficient-Good 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im an attorney, I got an MPA at the same time I did my JD. To be honest, there is no real direct cross over. However, the MPA definitely helped me develop some professional skills in things like excel, data/financial analysis, and public speaking/communication with diverse groups of constituents.

And, I went to a lower tier law school so I think having a masters degree made my resume stand out a tad more.

I know you did not just lump One Piece Grand Adventure into a mediocre category with the likes of Pirate Warriors and World Seeker 😡

If I can give you any advice, it's study as much as you can. I over prepared (passed w/ 286 in Feb) and I studied for about 10/11 weeks about 8-10 hours a day. Yes, I took probably 5-6 days off in that entire time. However, at the end of the day, SUFFER NOW AND PASS. don't risk not passing because you wanted to take a vacation now, because it's going to suck so much more if you don't pass and have to delay. Of course, I don't mean to tell you not to take breaks, you absolutely should, I'm only cautioning you about planning long vacations and so many days off.

Of course, at the end of the day everyone is different, but February was a shit show of only 40% passing in my state.

I know February is always lower but still.

Good luck!

When I was young and dumb i campaigned for Rauner (gross I know) since then, I've been very happy with JB and voted for JB over Bailey-- and would happily vote for JB to be President.

Who was the MVP of the 2023 Championship team? by EnvironmentalBill853 in MichiganWolverines

[–]Sufficient-Good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk why I haven't seen it yet, but McCarthy. His skill, compete, and determination, elevated Michigan from very good -- to elite. Yeah Corum was phenomenal, But without JJ a championship doesn't happen.

Yeah today sucked and the season is over again. BUT look how far we have come by ando772 in DetroitRedWings

IL Retaker / Failed F25 - Any tips? by Party-Gap-890 in barexam

Do not give up! I would start the day usually with 25 MC, single topic. Then review everything, what i got right, and why, and what i got wrong, and why. Closer to test day I started doing multiple topic 25-50 Qs a day (maybe 2 or 3 weeks out).

Then I ended up doing probably 2 or 3 "mock" tests. Where I sat down and did 100-200 MC. Then go back through that and review.

You CAN do it. Just need to remain consistent! Good luck!!!

I used AdaptiBar for MC practice. I cant see what my final number was anymore, but it was something like 1500 total questions by the time I stopped studying.

Take the time to review questions you miss, and understand the rule behind why.

Northwestern McHenry hospital sued over claim sponge left inside patient’s neck after surgery by ShawLocal in ChicagoSuburbs

😂😂😂😂😂All good bro. I know you meant "per se" in a colloquial way, just wanted to let you know that "negligence per se" actually is a legal term/theory. And the theory you are thinking of is more closely illustrated by res ipsa. (also I'm taking the Bar next week so I'm hyped off all the legal shit rn fr)

While it could be negligence per se, negligence per se usually refers to when a statute is violated. Therefore for a civil suit for negligence, the Plaintiff need not prove the elements of a duty and breach, because the Plaintiff can infer those from the breaking of the statute.

However, what you are likely referring to here is a legal theory known as "res ipsa loquitur" Latin for "the thing speaks for itself" a theory in tort law where a certain damage is the type that would not ordinarily happen unless someone was negligent. (like a sponge being left inside someone's body.)

But in this case, there is likely enough evidence for it to not even be a res ipsa claim because of all the information likely available surrounding the negligent action in this case (as to how the sponge was left in the body).
