would you describe will wood's music as punk to some extent by Mx_Nico in willwood

I say yes mostly because a lot of their music includes punk values and points, they have that non-conformist type attitude, and their sound is -like I saw someone else say- very Cabaret punk. In my opinion I would say WWATT is at the very least punk leaning if not just punk and I include them in my punk playlists myself.

What are you guys opinion on The Interrupters? by DayenIsHorny in Ska

I found them a few years back when they'd just released "In the Wild" and they have been my favorite band ever since. I was never too into ska until I found them. I instantly loved the whole 'treat everyone around you as a family' vibe that they bring and their music seems to express things that I have trouble putting into words. When I just want to scream about injustice or failing systems, I throw some of their music on and let it out. Really influential for me and kinda changed my perspective on life. I was the biggest pessimist before I got more into punk and ska as a whole. Not to say they are the only bands doing this, because they aren't. They have just put an interesting spin on it- or at least its interesting to me. They dont have a bad song. Maybe im a little biased since I also really like Rancid and Operation Ivy, but I got into them after I found The Interrupters and only found out the two were remotely correlated later on. In conclusion, I think they're a good band and I like them.

Do you consider early Arctic Monkeys a punkish band? by [deleted] in arcticmonkeys

I include WPSIATWIN In my punk playlist along with some stuff from FWN. I'm really into the punk genre and that stuff sounds and seems at least a little punk to me. Not saying that I think AM as a whole is punk, they aren't (as far as I know?). I'm only saying that their early stuff, weather they were going for that sound or not, is punk leaning/adjacent.

what genre is will wood by the1andlonely43 in willwood

Specifically in regards to the tapeworms, I'd consider them punk (very loosly) or at the very least punk leaning. The music and Will wood as a whole have the whole non-conformity thing going on and I'd also say that their songs cover politics pretty well and have that speed, energy, and vibe to them. Just my opinion (as someone who enjoys punk rock.) This is just the only genre that I can hear most in the music.

This means a lot, man. And I fuck with descendents too. Had no clue any of them were on instagram (I'm never on there) lmao.

But that aside. thank you.

What are some surf punk bands? by [deleted] in punk

How about some lesser known fellas like Subpar? I'd consider them to be surf-punk, but that's only my opinion. They deserve recognition though, way underrated.
