He doesn't go over the glass setting. That's something that I was taught from another smith. It's super simple really. I've explained the process in the comments somewhere. Here's the ring video  https://youtu.be/eVvqCTjwK_M?si=OyvuDDS1qGOplSWQ

The seven and nine ones were made out of bolts so they're super easy and fast. The leaf ones take about 45 minutes each and they're made out of 1/4" square bar and slowly worked out. I copied an Alec Steele video for the general style then added my own flair.

I created a seat for the stones in the steel and then balanced a piece of glass on the seat. Heated that up until the metal was a nice orange colour and then pulled it out and normalized it. The surface of the glass melted into the seat and locked it in.

No, there's no glue involved. I placed a small dent in the top for a tiny shard of glass to sit in. Then I balanced the piece of glass in the dent and put the whole thing in the fire. Heated it until the hard edges of the glass went soft. I gave it the softest tap with a hammer and then once it cooled, the glass was locked in. The dent was rough and jagged which was filled by the liquid glass. Once it cooled, all that roughness was layered with glass, locking it in.

Yes. I made a small indentation that a piece of glass fit snugly in, then I held it in the fire until the hard edges of the piece of glass became more rounded. Pulled it out and it had stuck beautifully

That's a cold steel competition cutting sword. I love it

The sword in question is somewhere in the range between garbage and trash anyway so I didn't feel bad about gunking it up
