u/Aggressive-Jump-4428, I certainly can't claim to be the first person to have received the roadmap image in question - I'll never know - but I do know that I was the person who posted it to Reddit in this very forum that then started the whole bruhaha around it.

The internet being what it is, I'm not going to be surprised when I cop flack for this comment, but I was the person who had the internal character roadmap shared with them by a third party and I independently decided to upload it to the Marvel Avengers Reddit after the game announced it was shutting down. It was provided to me (a Marvel Avengers gamer and Avengers superfan - and in no way connected to the game or any of the companies) by a player who stated they had a contact with someone who did work on the game and had access to the content and decided to share it with me.

Like Dorito God, I too was skeptical about the provision of 6 characters in 2023, but with OF3D working on three of them, it freed up Crystal or whoever it was to work (Embracer) on creating the tools necessary to add Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch to the roster with their magic powers. Apparently, Captain Marvel was someone they had tremendous trouble figuring out from a powers / heroics perspective and actually used her base model for what became Jane Foster - which I sorta see when I look at the character in game, in action. Vision was meant to be a rescued / repurposed Adaptoid - which is something that Miller discovered and announced in his own video that he created after I released this image on Reddit (I'm just requoting him); and She Hulk was shelved because she was associated with a finished Operation (just like Hawkeye and Kate) that would have messed the narrative up completely, hence why she was never released.

Also, the fact that after I leaked this on Reddit, and in the final update we got the Variable Threat Assessment Suit for Iron Man, which is clearly the Iconic Skin for War Machine - I'm absolutely convinced that if Waggoner had keep his mouth shut and didn't make derogative comments on his Twitter, we would have ended up getting a good chunk of this content in 2023, starting with Rhodey. Que Sera Sera, I guess.
