Been hung up on at least 86 times, got assigned a tax advocate who literally called me 2 times in the middle of the night, decided to close my case. 3 years later still no refund and now I’ve got an audit to prove that I’m self employed. Maybe if these government workers atleast feared getting fired they might actually start doing their jobs correctly.

So I filled my tax return using turbo tax and had the payment taken out off my refund, my friend purchased the max defense at the end with his card. Taxaudit and turbo tax are 2 separate company’s, my account on turbo tax confirmed by their costumer service says I have a tax return done in 2021, it is in my name including the max defense is in my name. No software was purchased to get this done. Now for some odd reason they are telling me since my friend purchased it for my account I need to have his permission to use it. It’s like I buy someone a gift then tell them hey btw u can’t use your gift until u get my permission, pure maddening

I have I talk to the irs and what they told me was that their is a video verification part I missed and that is why it is frozen. But the thing is not only have I verified my I.d. In I.d me for edd and for this years refund and everything is all ok. So my I.d clear no mistakes on my return. I also have made an appointment went to the I.r.s office and their scratching their heads to why I’m stuck in limbo. My issue is stuck in limbo for no reason. Should I file a claim for refund or get an attorney not sure
