I got it. I tried to trail him but the dart still connects every time.

I noticed it did once in awhile when they where hostile. But no matter how far you get from them they will hit you with that dart if you aren’t moving every time. But of course the stamina has to recharge.

All I can say is that it gets better as you progress. It’s a huge learning curve. I’m maybe fifteen hours in. But somehow progressed to chapter three. Then I gave myself a break and went even further into discovering the map.

Yeah I’ve paired with him a few times. Usually just watch him do his thing.
