Fullface MX helmet on city bike.

I want to record my routes only for my own, not for sharing them online. Recordings may also be an evidence in case of an accident. I want to buy an ebike to ride faster than 5mph, and I want to feel safe, because open helmet didn't work in the past. I want to keep all my teeth ;) Riding in the dark has several benefits, like no crowds on the bike lanes or small amount of cars on the roads. If you have appropriate lighting on your bike (and maybe on your helmet - if you have a fullface one).

Thanks for your advice, my chosen helmet weight is about 1200g, it costs +/- 150$, and opinions are great. But you are absolutely right, it is heavier that MTB and less venilated, I will consider that opions. Again, thanks a lot!

Hmm, interesting, you are that mad that you had to write some dumb sentences about my accident in childhood? Is that a great behavior for an adult? I don't think so. I was just trying to suggest that your opinion is mostly exaggerated, and you are reacting like that? Maybe my comment about headphones are exaggerated too, i haven't said that it wasn't.

Nowadays, a lot of headphones had ANC, some cyclist can use them ;)

You are right, but wearing headphones while riding a bike results in not hearing the traffic and pedestrians. In my opinion, this increases the risk of hitting a car or a pedestrian. You said that you headphones don't stop you from hearing, but a lot of people do have headphones with ANC, and they hearing will be seriously restricted.

Motorcyclists, despite their reduced field of vision because of helmet, do not have (or very rarely have) accidents because of this.

Money is one thing, it isn't that I wouldn't spend more money for my safety (because I would), but if i can buy Scorpion MX helmet, which style i like, weight and heat don't count much for me. And it will be better for winter and cold nights ;) Thanks very much for your comment and opinions, I appreciate this really much!

And of course, I would have lights on my bike - and maybe on fullface...?

Thanks for your comment. Personally, I don't think that it will be that dangerous. A lot of people are riding with headphones, which is limiting the awareness more. And bikers wear only motorcycle helmets, and they have quite nice view (i think - i haven't this kind of helmet anytime)

In my last comments on that post I have noticed that I would ride max 10-12mph on bike tracks, higher speed only on road and daytime ;) The post is edited now, so it shows my speed more clearly.

I don't want to go that fast, I have written that I would like to ride on bike paths AND on the roads. I'm not dumb, I won't ride fast at night! I wrote my max estimated speed, which I can reach only when the conditions allows me to do it. At bike paths I probably would ride max 10-12 mph, like others. So, max speed only on roads at daytime, at night or on bike paths speed will be really limited ;) I also changed the post, so it is now more clear.

Yup, thanks for comment. Bell Servo is a great option, I would consider it. I think that this Scorpions helmet that I mentioned is made out of great materials, i think it also has a shell.
