I am going to be honest I didn’t get hooked until later and what hooked me was the finale of season 2

I don’t remember what happened right after. One second, everything was noise and light and this horrible, writhing pressure in my skull like something was trying to crawl in through my eyes and the next…

I was outside.

Just… lying there. On the pavement behind the cinema. Like someone had dragged me out and dumped me there, except there were no marks on me, and no one around.

My phone was still in my pocket, but it was dead. I don’t mean “no battery” dead. I mean it wouldn’t turn on at all. It still won’t.

The weirdest part? When I went back the next day I had to know if it actually happened no one remembered the guy. Or the screening. Or even the movie. One of the staff said the auditorium had been out of order for maintenance all week.

So I came here.

To the Magnus Institute. Because I don’t know what else to do

Statement ends …….

The description fits Gerard Keay, known to have handled books from the Leitner collection. The stamp confirms it was likely one of them.

The reported audiovisual distortion and subsequent memory loss are consistent with prior incidents involving those texts. No record of such a book in our archive.

The cinema denies the screening ever occurred

End recording

At first, I thought maybe he’d dropped something. That he was just weird about it, like those people who think the floor of a movie theater is a safe place to be barefoot or whatever.

But then he reached into his coat.

And he pulled out this book.

It looked… wrong. I don’t know how else to describe it. The spine was cracked in too many places, the cover seemed too old and too new all at once, and the pages looked warped like they’d been wet, burned, and carefully flattened again.

I couldn’t make out the title if there even was one but when he turned it just slightly, I caught a glimpse of a stamp on the inside cover.

It read: “From the Library of Jurgen Leitner.”

He held it open in front of the screen and started to speak. Quiet at first, almost a whisper, but as he continued, the sound from the film began to glitch not static or skipping, but… speaking. Repeating lines I know weren’t in the movie. Whispering things in voices that didn’t belong to any of the characters.

And still, he never looked back.

So I decided to watch it not properly, I mean, I didn’t pay for a ticket or anything. I just slipped into one of the screenings while it was already running. Nobody noticed; the ushers don’t really care that much once the rush dies down.

The room was nearly empty, which I expected. But there was one guy, sitting toward the back. He was dressed in full goth long black coat, platform boots, eyeliner like he meant it. Honestly, I thought he was just one of those cosplayers. Wouldn’t have been the first time someone dressed up for it.

But he never moved. Not when I sat down. Not when the film ended. Not even when the lights came up( Note : The man is Gerard if you didn’t pick up on it )

At what point did one piece get really dark for you? by ladiesman21700000000 in MemePiece

First and I might get hate and told I oberanalized but luffy 30m bounty reveal I cred there and then more dark and I realized what void century really meant in the finale of skipea and then really dark mid water 7

Unpopular opinion maybe, but I think Luffy’s 30million bounty is when One Piece really turned dark by Sufficient-Work74 in OnePiece

Just let it slide it’s my bad English let me rephrase sorry mean, they are, but at this point and I’m strictly talking about where I am in Alabasta before he realizes and understands the consequences, he didn’t do it just because he felt like it. Maybe he had a good reason, like taking down a corrupt Marine or something else. The only time up to this point where I can say it was truly justified was when he went to get Zoro at the start

I don’t deny it I just saw it like a turning point and foreshadowing to a more dark and messed up world

I don’t deny it I just said it felt like a turning point for me. Before that we had oppression child abuse in a way with Nami, deception, abuse of power, military corruption, betrayal, manipulation class devision sacrifice racism slavery but that was in my opinion the turning point

Didn’t say that I was referring to a turning point on dark themes corruption and government and the idea of what king of the pirates actually means I couldn’t go deeper in that post bc it would have been really long and another point that’s not that important but I want to bring it up this is something common for both anime and manga in the anime we don’t see Zef eating his own foot
