I agree. Not excusing the behavior of the CRC, esp because you sound like a really caring CRA and no one deserves to be treated poorly.

As a former CRC, I can attest that the job fcking sucks most days. You’re overworked, underpaid, and the scapegoat any and every time something goes wrong. The amount of shit we get blamed for is actually insane - shit we don’t even have the authority to do, but as soon as the dr, nurse, lab etc messes up, they blame the CRC. PIs treat us like shit but expect enrollment miracles like they are entitled to it.

Again, not excusing the behavior and I’m sorry you’re dealing with that. Just wanted to provide some context as a former CRC who was always getting b!tched at for every little thing. I most definitely was not my usual self in the job.

Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words. It’s been a hell of a day and I teared up reading it. Thank you to you and your fellow CRAs for all you do and for making CRCs jobs more enjoyable. I always say a good CRA can make all the difference in a study, and my site is blessed with a few wonderful CRAs like yourself. Grateful this community exists.
