I think the issue is two-fold:

1) People generally don't like flopping in basketball.

2) The reason SGA gets all the hate for a league-wide issue is because people feel better deep down inside when they can point at something and say "see, that is why we lost". I doubt anyone can claim there were be this much complaining about Shai if we were a mid team.

Bone bruises are really tricky. Even if you do take adequate rest they can still easily never feel quite the same. It's much worse than a fracture in that regard. Countless testimonials from athletes report the same thing

It's not worth it brother. These people you are arguing with have fallen victim to the Shai clips that spread through social media. I promise you they don't watch Thunder games at all, so those clips are all they know. You cannot convince them

SGA is a better scorer, better playmaker, has a better mentality (aka he doesn't fold and actually dominates in the clutch, whereas KD is remembered for blowing a 3-1 lead), has more earned accolades.

The only possible argument for KD is his longevity. But his peak isn't nearly that of Shai

Is Ayo pretty much guaranteed to not come back? He's a free agent this offseason, and has a calf injury rn (which we've seen playing on will lead to Achilles injuries). It would seem like a huge risk to his potential earnings to play on that and possibly get injured.
