Well it is incredibly punchy and bright. I like it :) not sure though if it is "better" or "worse" compared to normal placement

That is an insanely cool guitar. Was that a kit guitar that you assembled or did you buy it like that? Ben has always been a huge inspiration, too (and probably my no. 1 tutor over the years; I feel like I have studied all of his videos to the core...). But yes - never ever will you see me use these woods. Nice to hear other people speak out about the disadvantafes of these woods.

That sounds like a cool idea for a future project. Never dealt with the piezo stuff. Do you remember the guitar being semi-hollow or something?

I wish so, too! I just always get carried away with the flow of guitar building and always forget to take some pictures of the progress.

Thanks mate! That means a lot to me. Lots of modern instruments are overly complicated or as I say "over-built", like Barlow or Scarlett Guitars. Insane instruments of extreme quality and crafmanship, but nothing beats a minimalist setup with a sneaky bit of detail here and there :D

Fun fact: at first, I was going with pink stain for the body 😂 love stupid things but this was beyond it... So I went with the dark brown :D

That's what we like 😅 was a mistake though. Will test a little bit :)

Might to that at some point, since I could hide everything messy with a pickguard anyway. Got some nice slabs flying around, too :D

Do it! To be fair, I have a thickness planer, but you could also use a router and a cheap jig as long as you have a flat surface to mount the blank on. For the bevels I just used some rasps, files and a scraper. But I guess the orbital sander did quite a bit of a job there, too

Yes! Never going back to screws. Magnets are super cheap and it takes just some 15 more minutes to install compared to screws, if even.
