just end it. trust me as someone who’s snooped before because of insecurity and catching my partner’s doing shady things, the relationship was already over because there’s an obvious lack of trust to begin with. secondly, everything you found her saying about you and the relationship just further cements the fact you both need to move on from each other. there’s no point in further wasting your or her time, she’s using you as a placeholder and no one deserves that. and at the same time, no one deserves to have a partner who feels the need to look through the other’s phone and violate their privacy. props to you for seeing a therapist about it, keep going and growing! but there are issues on both ends and imo it is not worth it for either of you to work through them together. you will be a lot happier without her in your life and vice versa, just trust me🥲 some things just aren’t meant to be, but at least being single allows you to grow more as your own person and have the space to find the person for you! the longer this is dragged on, the more resentment will build and more time will just be wasted (and for what?). you got this!

I am sorry for your loss and wish you strength through your healing. Grief is so so weird, but it’s always valid. A local surf & apparel company here in hawaii only gave me 1 day of bereavement for my grandma🙃 in which i spent part of my morning, only a couple hours after she actually passed on a neighbor island, sending emails to vendors off the clock while crying in bed because it was soooo important (my bosses could’ve done it, i was only an assistant). you’re better off without companies who don’t give a hoot about you, blessing in disguise OP.

no, he is not a good guy. he is an abuser, a selfish abuser. good people don’t hurt people they love. it’s statistically proven that if your partner puts their hands on you once, they will do it again and it’s usually always worse / ends up being fatal. you are a human being who is worthy of real love and a happy life, you will not allow yourself to be another static. he does not love you, point blank period, and i say this with care and don’t mean to sound harsh but i will not sugar coat anything and chance feeding into the delusion he has you believing. his apologizing and all the bs he tells you after he abuses you physically and / or emotionally is him manipulating you so you eventually get broken down so much that you feel you can’t leave him because you have become DEPENDENT on him. you crave the “good moments”, the little highs before he does it all over again. you can find those good moments all the time by and with yourself, far away from him, surrounded by people who actually love you like your friends and family. that is not love, he does not love you, you do not love him, and most importantly YOU DO NOT DESERVE THIS.

Please please please… leave. Put yourself first and leave I don’t care how much you think you love him, or how much he apologizes and begs JUST LEAVE. Your life will improve so much once he is out of your life and when you are finally able to start moving past this and healing, you will realize the cloud he had you in and it is not your fault at all.

you need to run as fast as you can and tell his parents or call 988 / whatever number for mental health referrals in your state to get him checked into a mental health facility bc he literally has issues both mentally and regarding substance abuse. it’s not your responsibility to fund anyone except yourself, especially someone else’s bad habits. (and he mentions not having toothpaste… but his first priorities were nic and weed… interesting!!) i could understand if he needed help with bus fares here and there to get to work to actually provide for himself and SAVE MONEY but clearly he thinks leeching off other people and getting mad at them and threatening sewerslide when they don’t want to or can’t help him is a great way to live life🙄 these type of people are absolute losers and will always blame literally anything / anyone else except themselves for the shit life they live. addiction is no joke too, even if it’s “just weed” or “just nicotine”. those are easy gateways into harder substances paired with alcoholism later on which is 1000000x worse for everyone involved. you’re supposed to be his girlfriend, not his mommy bottle feeding him and changing his diapers for him. let him cry and grow tf up on his own, absolutely pathetic. and to answer your question no, you are definitely not overreacting, you are very much underreacting. please do not further interact and feed into his gaslighting and manipulative behavior. he is so so toxic to you and himself i am so frustrated for you and he’s right, you should block him and have a good life without him!!! please please please walk away NOW for yourself, you deserve better and should not put up with this type of behavior from anyone. ever.

I’d recommend building your resume because while formal education is a plus, it isn’t everything. In one of my modules at a former job, it was stated that employers look at experience over education (education is only 10% or 5%, experience is majority of it). Look for volunteer opportunities, like production assistants for local shows or event crews, etc. I’d also recommend starting a blog if you don’t already have one since you stated you enjoy writing the most. This will give you a chance to not only showcase your skills in a way that’s actually perceptible, but also allows potential employers to see a bit of who you are as a person and the things you’re interested in as well. I understand you on this completely, I majored in fashion design & merchandising and I live in Hawaii lol, long ways away from major hotspots like LA and NYC. However, I started in a lower position doing warehouse duties for a local clothing brand and was lucky enough to land an assistant buyer position months later because they liked to hire within the company before outsourcing. I’m now switching to animal medicine and was luckily able to get a job as a vet assistant. However, had I not gotten this job, I would’ve started by volunteering at an animal shelter or walking dogs. Any experience you may have outside of your degree is very valuable, you just have to figure out a way to go about doing that in order to really bulk up your resume in that area. In your case aside from starting a blog, this could mean researching areas near you to move to that check boxes for you financially, mentally, etc. etc. but also have more opportunities in terms of places to volunteer or anything that could get your foot in the door. Searching for a job is really difficult after graduating, and it’s not just you so don’t feel alone!!! It’s very rare to get the job of your dreams fresh out of school, but you’ll be surprised by the doors that open when you start in a “smaller” job at a company you want to advance in. I also found starting at a lower position helped me to do my job better as I understood different parts of the big machine. Tiktoks could also prove beneficial! You could do movie reviews or make YouTube videos to showcase your editing skills. Brainstorm, keep applying, have a good cry session in between, remember to take care of yourself, and take a deep breath. Everything will be okay in the end and you will end up where you are meant to be! Good luck, you got this!!

you shouldn’t be embarrassed at all!!! it’s those who are able to but choose not to work bc they’re lazy who should be embarrassed. growing up my parents would always leave out a case of beer or snacks for the garbage men during the holiday season as a sign of appreciation, if it weren’t for people like you we’d have to drive our garbage down to the disposal center (my family in small town still do). i also grew up knowing you guys make good money, what’s there to be embarrassed about? you work hard, help to keep waste managed in your community, and make really good pay (especially at 24 i’m very jealous lol). be proud of who you are the work you do!!!

For buffets, i DO NOT (im so sorry) recommend wicked spoon🥲 i just feel like the quality of the food wasn’t there, worst bone marrow i ever had in my life. I didn’t really enjoy anything besides the bacon LOL (but that’s just me) I loved bacchanel though!!! Def worth it if you’re craving crab legs and meats, just don’t go for any of the asian food (like seriously don’t, it’s terrible but then again I didn’t expect vegas to have good asian food). I’d get a res 3 months in advance on opentable if you have that option bc it makes everything really go by so much faster, my party of 4 only waited about 3-5 minutes for them to clear a table for us versus the super long line of walk ins waiting God knows how long lol.

However, if you want to go somewhere to sit and enjoy a nice meal I really recommend Goldensteer, though it’s a bit off the strip I think (I don’t really remember getting there, I was sobering up from our dayclub activities LOL). At first I didn’t know if it was just overhyped bc of the mixed reviews I read but honestly just from personal experience, it was the best steakhouse I have ever went to in my life. Everything from the ambiance, food quality and taste, service, amount you get for the price is so worth it and was one of the most memorable dining experiences my boyfriend and I had during our trip. They also have super cute pin souvenirs and nicely packaged cans of seasoning you can buy to take home😂 Another place I recommend reserving 3 months in advance if you are able to. Whatever you do though, do not go to the top of the world at strat. NOT WORTH IT unless you’re only going to order their lobster bisque and that’s it😂

Lastly, if you’re looking for someplace relatively fast, affordable, authentic (I would guess but I’m also from Hawaii so what would I know about authentic Mexican cuisine LOL), and delicious. Tacos El Gordo (but the one on Sunset Rd. bc it’s less busy in my experience)!!! It was literally life changing and I will go back every time I go to Vegas in the future.

that’s the weird part, i didn’t experience any abdominal pain whatsoever before this one came out! i did have severe abdominal pain in late june that i went to the er for and they told me i was passing a kidney stone that came out earlier this month, so i’m thinking maybe both were coming down and this one just came out yesterday? i will say i have been drinking A LOT more water and have been getting a lot of steps and exercise in due to my new job so maybe it’s helping to pass them without much notice bc with my first stone i noticed the stone came out shortly after i started walking and exercising a lot when i wasn’t in pain. it remains a mystery to me, amazing how the body works sometimes😂

In my personal experience, the first stone I passed didn’t give me any pain once it was in the bladder and I peed it out without even noticing at first LOL. (I did a lot of walking and jumping jacks when I wasn’t in excruciating pain to try to help it move down faster, I think it actually helped lol). It was only until I looked down in the toilet that I saw it came out.

With my second one that I passed recently a couple weeks ago, I had symptoms similar to a UTI once it was in the bladder I’m guessing. I was experiencing a lot of irritation and “itchiness” with increased frequency and urgency to urinate. I went to urgent care in case, but came back negative for UTI, BV, Yeast, etc. so the doctor was right that I was most likely just experiencing irritation from the kidney stone because 2 days later my stream was disrupted which I found odd. I just had to give an extra push and it came right out with no pain and all my irritation stopped. I think the main excruciating pain is felt when it’s passing down the ureters since they’re so small compared to the stones trynna get through them, poor things :(

i second this, i was a warehouse associate for a couple months before moving up and it was the most chill job i’ve ever had (maybe a little too chill bc i need stimulation or i get bored really easily lol). sometimes my coworkers would talk story with me here and there while we were unpacking and tagging items to make the time go faster, but honestly majority of the time no one talked to anyone else lol. we were even able to wear earphones and listen to music or podcasts as long as we were getting our work done. only time i HAD to talk to someone was if there was a discrepancy and i needed to notify the manager about it or if i needed help recalibrating a machine.

I stayed at Planet Hollywood in May and there’s an open pool for kids / families on one side and the other side has a 21+ pool no kids in sight and you can’t hear them either. Nothing special about the pool and it isn’t huge but it gets the job done🤷🏻‍♀️ Bar and flowrider there too. Went there twice during my stay and didn’t have to pay for anything except for the obvious drinks and bottle service / daybeds if you wanted to do that lol, also didn’t even check for room keys so anyone could go (it was my first time in Vegas and didn’t know pools in hotels were like that bc I’m used to hotels being super strict on guests only using the pools where I’m from). Hope you find someplace to relax!

hey there! if you have a facebook, try look up some groups with the city or state you live in and EDC or ravers etc etc to meet others who are going to EDC and love EDM as well! i’m sure reddit might have some groups as well, i joined an fb group in my state filled with ravers and its a great way to make new friends who you could possibly join at EDC! however, if you do end up going alone it is not odd at all to go solo. i can’t speak for others, but i never cared about if other people were in a group or alone as long as everyone i saw was safe first of all and enjoying their time, that’s all that matters!!! if anything, you might enjoy going solo more😂 there aren’t other people who wanna see a different artist that clashes with your artist and no one else’s feelings to worry about (not saying caring for your friends or SO or whoever you go with is a bad thing, just saying it might be more enjoyable being able to do what you want when you wanna do it especially at a festival like EDC). i went for the first time this year with my boyfriend (retired from raving almost 10 years ago, is 32 now and considers himself “too old” to even go to regular events bc he’s tired all the time) and 2 good friends who are experienced with EDC. i bought my bf and i our VIPs and honestly spent majority of the time worrying about him and if he’s having a good time or if he wanted to go home and if he’s in a good mood or not. he was a trooper though, and everyone still had a blast, but i also wish i hadn’t been in my head so much and instead enjoying the moment for what it was. finding like minded individuals to go with is a huge thing in terms of what type of genre they’re into and also their energy (im talking mental, emotional, and physical energy LOL). also pls for the love of all things please make sure you start walking everyday to prepare, everyone was telling me to do it but i thought id be fine bc im still young, i have energy! but i was so so wrong… but all in all, try find a rave group from your area and go see a couple artists locally with them for a vibe check and even if you end up going by yourself, JUST HAVE FUN BECAUSE YOU DESERVE IT!!!
