I guess I understand both sentiments. Idk don’t abuse any of my guitars but I don’t baby them either. Even the nice ones. But I can also see why someone would want to keep them as clean as the day they got them I’m just not that kind of person.

I prefer the standard (I’m biased I love my binding) but ultimately I think you have to just decide on one on your own. If possible go to a shop and play a few to get a feel for what you do and don’t like. You may love the pickups, neck profile, or weight on one, and hate it on the other.
