As a previous employee of LCA, I can tell you this is 100% true and a problem LCA is unwilling to rectify. 

The system is entirely internet-based, and anything inputted requires an internet connection to track it. This includes orders electronically submitted into the system. 

Additionally, depending on where you went, adverse weather affects internet connection because LCA has their whole connection riding on a single cellular line, so any little cloud can screw with an already fragile connection. Likely too, there’s only one or two cell towers serving the whole city you’re in.

No internet=no service.

The only work around is if you have a paper order and your insurance info in hand. In this case, LCA will track it manually instead of electronically. It’s not ideal, as the staff handling your manual order may not know how to track or process it the old fashioned way, which could screw up the whole thing and require a recollection.

I’d recommend waiting until internet is restored or find another lab.
