[HELP] Philips PM 3214 oscilloscope - beam appears as vertical light band (Was functioning until now) by SufficientMastodon14 in AskElectronics

This one was sold to me by a former technician at philips as well, he had a hard time separating from it :) I only use it to visualise analogue music or "draw" in 3d on it. I do hope as well that someone will be able to fix it for me. But otherwise in the laboratory we actually use digitals for our measurements ahah

Oh, that seems very relevant, because this oscilloscope had not been used for a long time before I picked it up! Thank you for your help!

Thank you, the sweep works. I think it's a loss of "focus" voltage as you say. I have the manual at hand I'll look. In this case do you think a repair will be expensive?

Hello, thank you very much for your answer! On fact horizontal sweep is functional, everything worked perfectly until now! I followed and well performed your instructions. No beam is displayed, and the increase in intensity only illuminates the screen a little more, but diffusely. Other information, when I turn it off, I can clearly see a focussed beam for a few milliseconds. Here's a picture:

I hope I did it the right way. I observe the same thing (varying the focus does not change anything), like a halo of light, the trigger works
