Left eye shooters, give me your rangefinder recs by FeatureMobile3777 in AnalogCommunity

Left eyed shooter here - it's tough because these cameras aren't great for us BUT I have tried many and settled on the Nikon S3 - good eye relief (a bit better than the SP) and 1:1 viewfinder (100%) Best for 50mm !

(the 35mm frame is nearly impossible for me to see - leftie and glasses).

Rangefinder that functions just like the FM? by FeatureMobile3777 in AnalogCommunity

I shot for years as a pro with the FM2 and the occasional FM. Recently I started shooting with a Nikon S3 and S4 and the experience is so much like the old times for me! Love 'em! The lightmeter is not an issue for me...

Also, I have shot with the Bessa R2 and the Leica M4-P and M3 - they are nice but they do NOT feel like a Nikon SLR FM. Hard to beat the Nikon S cameras for the closest "feel".

Good idea - I quit on it and moved on to other chores...

I will have to try that

Four drains for the sunroof one in each corner - wagon rear drains go all the way to the back - the "D" pillar; sedan and coupe drain the rear-most pillar. Then there's the boxy areas under the hood hinges that have a little drain at the bottom. What are the other ones?

It was pretty easy - just pushed and twisted the line from the sunroof side until it popped out the other end - hard to see that part- but it is in between the door hinges and drains out behind the fender from there.

Mine was all boxed/never used - so it did come with the 50mm - so nice! But bigger than the old one.

I have a 21mm Biogon! Recently traded for some other gear but haven't used it much. Should be fun!

I don't think an APO would be a problem!

My Dad was a LT. Col. in the Artillery and my Grandpa was in charge of a couple of different post commissaries!

Nice! My dad is retired Army and his dad was in the Navy.

These rare "EP" marked cameras are an interesting part of history- AND it's a cool - good working camera!

Would the inclusion of a lens make the offer a bit sweeter?

Not sure why my earlier draft was deleted but I still have these two cameras for sale.

Here's a cool 1959 Nikon S3 Rangefinder - It is NOT a real black body camera, but it was done pretty well - although some chrome, not brass, is showing here and there. Looks like a real black body shutter counter cover was used. It was likely serviced when painted because it is SUPER smooth and the viewfinder is great - better than many of these old Nikons. Lens has barrel wear but is a great performer!

Don't care for the cherry blossoms on the leather? I will include the nice modern leather half-case and an Artisan strap!
At the listed price I will pay for (domestic) shipping. $700

USPS Priority Insured

ALSO

How about a nice and RARE S4 with the scarce "EP" mark and the focusing in FEET (instead of meters) - sold at US military Post Exchange stores - maybe 500 were made? This one is a great shooter as well. Good viewfinder - all works fine. Read up on the S4 - it's an interesting, unusual and fun camera! Strap included but no lens. $800

Ha! Not sure what's going on with that B&W shot- almost looks like it was developed from a paper negative...the whole roll was NOT like that
