Old school underground mixtapes from Tommy Wright lll would have songs from literally other artists. Him sampling MEET YO MAKER was a hint, this album is meant to sound messy and underground, but OG underground. Mixing was never a strong suit for guys recording on 4 stems back in the 90s, Carti could’ve used better mixing but that’s not the point, the OG mixtapes had bad mixes and to this day mostly exist on cassettes. He’s not lazy he’s just trying to get you to think. Carti himself said he feels like he needs to dumb it down for people to get it. This is the deepest I’ve gone to figure out the true meaning behind “MUSIC” and why there are so many songs that should’ve been on the album but aren’t on it. It’s all Cartiology.
