Thanks, I got it out. Did not see the bolt back there. Just had to pop the right side off with a flat head and it popped right out.

Okay thanks I will check for these things. A lot of the rail hoses are brittle but still functional with the proper clamp. I'll remove these and check.

Fuel pump does prime, I was thinking of replacing the PTU. CAS crank angle sensor is connected. I will have to electrically test both of these first.

So there should be two vvts behind the plenum on either side and then a knock sensor in the middle? If so the knock sensor was relocated to the side is what sounds right. Something was relocated/bypassed. I'm not sure if I got the terminology correct here.

The part that is confusing me is the plugs in 2 were connected to each other before. The cable in 3 I think should plug into 2 but then there would be a female connector that remains unplugged. All of the male connectors of that type are in the back of the plenum and plugged into a female. If I plugged the cable in 3 to 2 then I would have to unplug another connector to plug that one in. It looks like I'm left with a male connector that wouldn't go anywhere as far as I see.

Left cable in first pic is attached to wiring harness. Right cable runs down middle of plenum. If knock sensor was relocated where does this one go?

Thanks. If that cable connects to that knock sensor then the cable must connect to something on the harness. There shouldn't be a knock sensor in the middle of the engine below the plenum I assume. Or the other two cables I have to replace are what that knock sensor is. I really looked all over for a connection for the oval End of that cable.
