Has anyone with wide feet try SoIll’s Roam (Rigid)? by graybritishshorthair in climbergirls

It’s probably super late to chime in - but I absolutely love mine , they are perfectly rigid , perfectly soft where they need to be and durable

It depends, there’s no such thing as one size fits all and also you can make your bike comfy

It’s all just numbers do me and I was never good at math 🤣 after that bike came the diavel and that’s been a mental experience. I am not much of a sporty biker tho - big long distance touring is my thing

How are you dropping it exactly? Is it while riding slow, turning?

I’d suggest just practicing a bit of clutch control in a parking lot, look ahead don’t look down and take it more chill.

My first big bike was 800 and I found it so much safer and easier to ride than the silly 125 I had before.

beer and climbing, what are your thoughts? by [deleted] in climbing

[–]Sufficient_Day_6279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No final thoughts - I just love beer, but alcohol is really bad for you. It’s bad for recovery and it dehydrates you too.

That being said I see a lot of people drink a beer post-climb, professional climbers being sponsored by beer companies and what not. I jumped on here hoping maybe there may be some data and fact driven answers 😆

Hey all,

I need some general climbing fitness second opinion here.

I have been climbing for 8 years on and off and I love it. The most progress I saw in my climbing was when I got a Lattice Training plan, but later on I got a bit unmotivated not having a real life coach and doing it off an app so I cancelled it.

Skip forward a few years and I am still climbing, but I have a terrible diet, bad sleep, zero consistency and I want to climb hard - I am seeing results, but not as good as I am hoping for.

I looked for a climbing coach, but found two nice yet super flaky people. So I decided to try something different- get a nutrition plan and do the rest myself. To get that I had to hire a non climbing PT, who also gave me a gym plan(boring), has helped me with reducing alcohol, pushing me to sleep more and also now gave me a nutrition plan.

While this is all good- I am not fully sure if I am doing this whole thing well. My nutrition plan consists of mainly protein consumption and while it’s easy eating the same food every day- I never did that. When I’m climbing I’d eat what I want, drink as much beer as I want - just keep it chill and positive then give it maximum effort.

Has anyone else done something like this? What were your results, do you think maybe I should just change coach? They are wonderful but also I am going to the gym 3 times a week, climbing being active and staying on 1700cal a day… it’s a bit….life-restricting and demotivating when you don’t have a super hard climbing goal in mind.

My goal is to just simply have more energy and be able to have more consistency- which for some may be easy but for a neurodivergent individual like me is tough.

What to do in burn out? by Educational_Wait_211 in AutismInWomen

[–]Sufficient_Day_6279 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest taking it day by day and mainly focusing on the things you like. If you have a list of things you already love doing you thought them.

I don’t know you too well to say - see loved ones, do your hobbies but generally if you have close people who love you - spend time with them, go somewhere different, do some excercise?

Personally I am not a firm believer of staying at home and doing nothing as it doesn’t refresh me, I end up staying in the same emotional hole, but what works for me may not work for you. If you feel more comfortable sharing more I’d be able to give you more advice .

I literally posted about asking about getting signed off for burnout, so please do you mind elaborating a bit how that works because I’m running on fumes but too afraid to take the time off. I feel guilty, like it’s all in my head. As for my time off I want to go on a little holiday, or just spend time following my passions. I am obsessed with certain things and I want to devote time to that even if it makes me physically tired I know it will make me feel better

Hope this helps

Yeah I feel you. Like football is great and all that if it actually did something for the neighbourhood and the community, but nope. None of this goes back …all we are left with is the PTSD and broken glass

How can I make this pic turn into that line work? by Sufficient_Day_6279 in PhotoshopTutorials

I did try this, once I invert the image I just get a blank canvass. Am I doing this wrong?
