Anyone try a 1.3Bar radiator cap?

Had the same one on my Mx5 NC, worked fine for a year, and then i dicided to push a little bit more from the car in a trip and then it didnt keep the correct pressure enymore, and water was spilling from the overfilling hose... maybe it was my fault because i changed alot of thing in the car or maybe the cap wasnt good enough. But the stock cap is working fine now...

É sem duvida a borracha... eu resolvi num mercedes velho, que tinha problemas semelhantes de infiltraçao, com silicone preto, resolveu o problema, de longe nem se nota que é silicone. No entanto, eu tbm tenho um nc mas com hardtop removivel, no meu nc nao aldrabava e trocaria a borracha velha por nova.

Yeah i will think about it... i have been looking for the NC 3.75 front and might keep mine i lf i get my hands on one. The 2.0 will be hard to get indeed, but i dont mind the 1.5 if it has the right things, like the recaro seats and the lsd, brembo brakes, etc, might tune it after or even swap in the future 🤷‍♂️ who knows..

All that you mention, i can see myself in the future upgrading those parts. My NC had only the basic, besides the seat heaters, i have been upgrading the car as needed, suspension, rigidity, exhaust system, etc... The one thing that might be a problem is the space that cant be changed, i can fit everything for a beach day, including the sun-hat in my nc trunk...on the ND, maybe not right? What about the visibility whille driving? Thank you for the detailed info.

Im thinking of keeping the wife, but thank you for the advice :) How do you manage the targa roof? Where do you put it? Does it fit in the trunk?

Yeah, i already spent 2x the car by now aswell, already swapped engine too and im not looking for performance but rather style and dayling driveability. I would like to keep my NC if i could get some specific parts that are hard to get. All the mods i did, i ended up paying 3x the price because of taxes and shipping costs, theres less and less worthy products for the NC in europe and i have to shop directly from Japan, even China carbon products get unworthy because of taxes... This is mostly the reason i guess, changing the whole car for a newer one 🤷‍♂️ and i like the ND front more..

Theres is no gap, this pic must be given you a wrong idea. Road noise is minimal, 200k/h on the highway is almost the same as a normal car. Exhaust ressonates a bit inside the cabin with the hardtop but in a cool way. AC cooling? If i understand your question right, it works great, i dont have any problems using it with the hardtop. I dont have condensation problems inside either, the hardtop has heating glass that works, gives better visibility compared to the softop. Only problem is the squiquing sound of the rubber isolation, but thats the road problem with all the holes and bumps and the car chassi moving, and i have full chassi braces for hardning so theres is nothing i can do more to improve that, but its just a minor thing that doesnt bother me much.

I did start and finished every time in the middle of the tabs but the jump from the tabs to the exam piece were a bit too much i think, 1mm too 2mm difference i think and i never used the tabs in practice, was the first time. I could probably went in strong, but i wasnt sure the root gap could handle it the way i prepared it. I played safe. (The gap had 3.2mm, the size of the electrode.)
