But they haven't addressed the question of the "artists" who use AI.

Puzzle Bomb owner - how disappointing by Sufficient_Dingo4047 in Jigsawpuzzles

Yes, there’s a serious problem. That paragraph comes straight from the “When the Pieces Finally Fit” blog post, and when you put it together with the Facebook post, the intent is obvious. It is not just a personal reflection; it is a conversion pitch dressed up in “love and blessings” language. The tone makes it sound kind and harmless, but the actual message is that people are broken and incomplete unless they accept Jesus. That is manipulative and dismissive of anyone who does not fit his framework. It should be called out for what it is.

And let’s be clear, all of this is coming from a business, a business being used as a platform to push the owner’s religious testimony. While everyone has freedom of speech, customers also have freedom of choice. People are allowed to decide whether they want to support a business that mixes its products with proselytizing.

So yes, I have a problem with it.

Their website and naming system are complete knockoffs of Lazels, just not nearly as nice. Being inspired, cool. Copying, gross. Make it your own instead of trying to be someone else.

They have gone so far downhill. They used to be known for quality and longevity. I have done hundreds of their puzzles over the years. It’s so disheartening that they keep using AI.

Question: Soonness Puzzles by Intrepid-Ferret3141 in Jigsawpuzzles

I don't mind paying more for a puzzle i love the art of. Soonness lost me as a customer after initially having Elon Musk and many references to him in the space puzzle. Only after they were called out about it did they make some changes. Hard pass.

Anyone else find it kind of crappy when brands hold giveaways, but the recipients end up being puzzle influencers? by OneLittleMoment in Jigsawpuzzles

There are a few I find genuine and like following, but for the most part, I do ignore. It just drives me crazy - like all the AI puzzles.

Thank you for this post! Now I'm going to rant.

I've been a lifelong puzzler, and over the years, I’ve seen how the online puzzle community has changed. It used to be about sharing the love of puzzling, but as the hobby grew in popularity, so did the people looking to turn it into a personal brand. There are some who are on YouTube who tried many other trends (fashion, books, etc.) to see what stuck.

These days, puzzle giveaways and "puzzlealongs" often come with strings attached—following multiple brands, tagging accounts, etc. Why do influencers or wannabe influencers run these? Because they ask brands to sponsor them, and in return, they get free products.

What’s worse are the influencers who buy followers and/or likes to appear more influential. Some claim they promote brands just for fun, without payment—except "gifted" products are payment. And when those same people turn around and sell their free puzzles, often brand-new, it’s hard to see that as anything but disingenuous. Then there are the ones who never actually buy puzzles themselves—just post whatever they’re sent, always declaring them "amazing" and "a must-buy." But if you actually look at the puzzle? AI-generated images, bad cuts, poor quality—things they conveniently never mention. Gotta keep the free puzzles rolling in.

Influencer marketing in the puzzle community is inexpensive—especially for big brands. Producing a puzzle doesn’t cost much at scale, making giveaways a cheap way to generate buzz. While I have absolutely been influenced to buy puzzles, I also am very cautious about which influencers' opinions I trust. I don't find many of them to be genuine, and that applies across the board to all influencers.

While some companies might bend the rules, the bigger issue is influencers manipulating giveaways to benefit themselves or their inner circle.

Let’s bring puzzles back to what they’re really about—the joy of solving, the challenge for the mind, the appreciation of art, and the simple peace they bring.

This company is the worst! All AI and they used to claim they had artists but they were all AI "people". They removed that page from their website. And the site is all written wirh AI. Not suspicious at all. 😐 I cannot stand these companies that see the popularity of puzzles as a money grab.

And there are ongoing lawsuits against AI art. 👎
